I am very close to become a Novice Smuggler, but what are the benifits of a Smuggler, and should i go for a Smuggler as a profession?

i think most of us would be biased towards our own profession

Well I like it. Even though I choose to only utilize afew of the benefits of beinga smuggler. If you want something to make money other then combat, combat and combat missions then havingsmuggler can bea decent side buisness. Or you can take smuggler to a pretty decent buisness level if you sell slicing supplies and pick up Novice WS, AS and some merchant you could be totally independant. All depends on what you like to do in the game. If you are looking for a decent combat stacked templet and like pistols then smuggler/pistoleer is decent for mid-level content. You'll need both if you really want to utilize pistols as an effective tool for pvp or pve. Each profession by themselves in these areas leave alot to be desired but together make a decent stack.

Why do people ask this question? I mean no disrespect, but how can we tell what is worthwhile for someone else?

The only way to answer this is to ask: What is it you are trying to accomplish?

Smuggler Combat bonuses are limited and the skill points would most likely be spent better elsewhere.

Do you like interacting with people? Do you like to roleplay? Smuggler is PERFECTif you answered yes to either of these.

At Master, money is average.. you won't get filthy rich, but you should be comfortable.

Important: I personally don't feel that smuggler is something you can dabble in. In my opinion, it's master or nothing.

Most people want a Master Smuggler to slice since they have a shot at a 5% higher max slice.

The spice tree isn't worth it as spices are secondary to chef's food now.

Dirty Fighting gives you feign death and a couple of pistol shots ... MAY be worth it to some people.

The Underworld tree may be worth it if you plan on selling Faction Points.

i took it up simply to openthe 50 locked containers i had -i wouldnt trust a smuggler to do it for me

now mastered it and loving it!

Well i'm a product of holo grinding smuggler was my first holo. I ended up loving it, but I continued to grind, after 19 professions I got sick of grinding. Took up two of my favorites TKA/Smuggler and eventually added Pistol.

Smuggler needs some work (i can't deny that) but it's one of the best to me. You get the bonus of combat, and the thrill of crafting for business. Your always in demand everyone wants a slice. Its fun, I love being needed to slice terminals, or armor, weapons. I can't even bare the though of loosing smuggler now not for anything.

Even the whole persona takes place you kind of feel like a king of the underworld when your smuggler. I'm sure after revamp it might be a lot better then it. Its' pretty decent right now too so you figure...

I was planning on mastering smuggler but got disgusted with the Spice Tree and Underwrold Tree so I dropped them. Now I am a dabbler in Commado and BH. I like being able to slice my heavy weapons and grenades plus Feign Death always comes in handy. Play with it, that's what I did. When JTL or the revamp comes out I might pick up master smugger. Until then have fun!
