It's somrthing that gives you a 75% chance ofsuccess inslicing. Only REALLY old school smugglers can say that they have used them

I have used them, does that make me a REALLY old school smuggler?
And you're implication is right, they are worthless.

I am so totally gonna use one, just to see how it works. You never know, the devs may do something crazy and make them useful.

Old School...
Didn't expect to be called that.
/crotchetyoldguy
That reminds me of the day when spices were actually valuable. Back then we didn't have vehicles, or mounts, or even shuttleports. Back then we had to walk all the way across the planets, in the snow, uphill, both ways, hoppin' on one foot because a bug ate one of our boots.
Anyway, yeah, they don't give you 100% success like clamps, but when your desperate, you can use Flow Analyzer Nods, or FANs, to give you a 75% likelyhood of which wire to cut. Of course, if your outta those, you can do what some of us *real* old timers did. Roll a chance cube, cut the color it rolls and hope your luck holds.
GIVE A SHOUT OUT FOR THA OLD SCHOOL BUFFAS, YO!

It is what us old smugglers used to grind up the slicing tree before we could craft clamps.
Man those were the days....

But you could use two or three FANs on the same thing and it was almost like a clamp.
Except your customers were sad 12% of the time.

just curious
They give you a 66% chance or so of slicing the right wire. With the ease of obtainig crated clamps, or schematics to make your own; yes, they are useless.
