Thread: So, I'm finally ready to Login in my Smuggler Post-CU...
So, what I'm not too sure about is, how redundant a branch or two of Pistoleer is combined with Master Smuggler...
Here's what I know that I'm keeping:
Master Smuggler and Creature Handler 0404
I have Two Branches of Pistoleer (I already had Ranged Support IV Pre-CU)
So, without Novice Pistoleer, I would have 38 Skill Points to play with...
Either I will:
Stick with Two Branches of Pistoleer...
xxx4 Of Pistoleer Plus Novice Commando and another Skill somewhere (Possibly to use a Rocket Launcher)...
Or pick up something that sounds incredibly fun and exciting...
Personally, I've always loved using Pistols, it totally fits my character, but picking up a little something else could be fun.
Any advice?

You should try pie, that'll probably work better here.
Or beer, that works too.
Play what you enjoy, since you're the one that has to use the toon.

Well, of course... that's always been my M.O.!
I will be using an intimidator regardless of what skills I end up using (Since they took away my ability to use my DX2, damnit!)...
Really what my question is about is, whether or not the Pistoleer Skills are a bit redundant combined with Smuggler? Though the Mods may make it worth it as well.
I'm just looking for some people that have some experience playing these professions Post-CU...
Do the special moves you get in Pistoleer overlap too much with those from Smuggler or do they combine well?
Do the skills of some other Profession combine with Smuggler to make a really nice combo (while still using an intimidator)?
My choices NEVER end up being for power or min/max-ing (Best results)... but I was just curious if there were some general opinions about this topic.
Just so that I know what I may be missing, or can at least try a few things out before my respec ends.
No big deal... just curious.

And don't worry about the DX2...it's a great looking gun but chances are it's no longer your best one. I don't even miss mine.
Having stopping shot along with Concussion is nice-nice, placing another root on when one's about to wear off is darn handy. Zo pistoleer xxx4.

I'd love to just go master pistoleer as well, but I just can't drop my Creature Handler.

I have 18 Skill points after Master Smuggler, Pistoleer 0004, Creature Handler 0404
I'm still thinking about adding Novice Commando and then 3 more boxes in one branch of either Pistoleer or Commando...

out of all the profs I've surrendered, this and scout i miss the most... CH was so fun but i never came close to mastering it- I was kinda a noob thenand had like 1221 CH or something..
Surrendering MSW would be more painful than the day I surrendered TK 4/?/1/?.. I started shipwright with 400k that i had saved pre-JTL. So I wasn't a heavy miner and that grind took 3 months out of my lifesorta.. God how Imiss meditation, especiallydoing it right nextto an incapped pre-nerfcombat medic before DBing them.
Or /feigndeath; then /AFK; then... what was it called?? The Label? A Mystic or something? Basicly saying blackbar me alll you want, I'm AFK and will just deal with the wounds AFKwith NPwhen you log out..
btw I think commando's kinda borked right now or maybe it got fixed already but their AOE's were busted or something i think but I think you can root a bunch mobs with that lag pistol wuts its name i 4get.. but it does 0 dmg to them but I THINK it roots them several within AOE but not 100% sure.. Myself I respcd to MS and went pistols 4/0/0/0 3/0/0/0for the speed..
