Thread: Accuracy or Defense?
Okay, hypothetical template question.
to you, which is more important, Accuracy or Defense?
I was screwing around with Kodan's and came up with a template that by switching TWO boxes the stats differ as such.
Accuracy with a pistol: 162 or 142
Speed: 97 or 97
Melee Defense: 155 or 165
Ranged Defense: 160 or 170
as you can see the tradeoff is 20 accuracy for 10 of each defense.
Which would you choose? Accuracy would improve your damage output, while defense improves, obviously your ability to absorb damage.
This is more a thought excercise than anything else, bored, connection's too lousy for galaxies right now, so I thought I'd throw this up, just to see what everyone's opinion on it is.
(The numbers are low because it's not a full template, with it you'd be at most level 70)
At the same time though, I'm thinking that Accuracy still would mean more to someone like a rifleman...
Personally with my actual template, if I'm fighting a rifleman, I find that those first few shots matter more to the rifleman than they do to me. His fight is won at the beginning, my fight is won at the middle and the end.
I dunno, it's a headscratcher to me.
Accuracy!!
a SL can help your defense
clothes can help your defense
AND there's a new cyber arm that will increase your ranged distance 10m, but it lowers your accuracy by 10% I think it was.
That nice ol' pistol ain't gonna do ya no good if'n's ya cain't hit nuthin' wit' it!
Also I'm looking at it, and assuming the diminishing returns system works the way the devs said it would, the boost to ranged defense wouldn't even be as much of an effect compared to the accuracy boost... hrmmm
yes I'm thinkin accuracy on that one.
I know the Corsec gloves give you pistol speed +...3, was it?
I know I have dance mind enhancement gloves in my inv, not that they do anything anymore.
I'd say check your friendly tailor for gloves, bandoliers...I treasure my +14 against bleeding bandolier, and a friendly tailor just gave me a +14 Terr Nav/(forget the rest) Black Spec-ops duster, completing my non-desert outfit. (Same in white for Tat)
And before the need for armor leggings came in I had a shirt and pants set that was like +10 total melee defense, +30 bleeding defense or something akin. might've been def v intimidate, or def. v. stun... either way, fun set.
