Thread: Last WUK and AUK in crates convert
Ochree I tried splitting a crate, hoping this would increase the number of useable kits I could salvage... no luck.

One guy salvaged around 900 wuk, and got none at all.

I've converted about 200 WUKs so far and got 5 Illegal Core things, about 70 Finely Crafted things and the rest Toolkits, so I guess this dude must have offended the Slice Gods somewhere in his distant Smuggler past
Actually, I bet he's a ReSpec Smuggler and knows nothing of the Slice Gods.

Are you talking about me? -_-' I've been a smuggler since October '03.
I remember grinding out my last ditch line on Lok with nothing but Body Shot 2 and ranger mods. I had to rely on the mobs not realizing I was there. I was heavily releaved when I finally got low blow, as the KD really made killing those narglatches easier. I switched over from ranger to pistoleer, and after getting the exp for novice, I finally finished getting underworld. And I remember thinking it was completely worthless, as I was neutral.
I remember the horror of the slicing grind, killing every mob insight hoping for a container drop. I also relied on a few friends and guild members on giving me containers, so I was able to finish slicing I in about 3 weeks. Slicing two...man, sitting infront of mission terminals all day, always picking red to cut. I was luckier with red. Then when I got slicing III, I found a vendor with crates of CDEF pistols. That was heaven. Made the grind a lot easier.
For spice, I just sat in the Anchorhead tavern making shadowpaw, IIRC. That was a pretty easy grind.
When I got master, I was happily receiving tells constantly. I remember always warning people not to ask for a slice, as it angers the slicing gods. I always found that pretty funny... Then, I stopped slicing for a while to grind out pilot, and working on getting new pistols and such. Eventually, the CU hit, and that really hit me hard. Slicing was horrible, so I just stopped caring about slicing all together and took a break from SWG. When I got back, I continued working on pilot. This is a few days ago, and when I first learned about the slicing changes, and the "quickly unpack your AUKs and WUKs," I couldn't, because I didn't have an empty house, my yacht was full, my inventory was full of space parts, and my bank account was full of...useless junk that I didn't want to sort out. So I just said "screw it" and just kinda go with my luck on what happens.
...so does that convince you I'm fully aware of the slicing gods?

I was actually referring to the guy theputter was talking about, who's apparently converted 900 WUKs and not got a single Illegal Core thing, whereas I've had a rate of about 2% Illegal Cores
