I will remove my Master Smuggler title and make myself unsearchable.

I can't bring myself to give up Smuggler ... but I will only help out people that know me as a Smuggler and I like.

(If I forget to remove it one day...someone yell at me please)

I did that along time ago. It is amazing how much more enjoyable things can be and I don't dread going to Theed of Coronet.

I notice I deal with alot less annoying people without master tag up. And you get overtipped more also when someone can't find a smuggler and begins to call out for one and you happen to be right there. Having the tag up seems to attract alot morecheapskate smacktalkers who demandall MS's should only charge 2k.

I am just a slicer and fense so far, and removed my title from the get go. All it took was one moron, and I realized that there are alot more of them than just that one. I keep my Master Medic title up to get apprentice xp though. And have more than enought app xp to get Master Smuggler when I finally get the pistol xp to do.

I hate morons....

Nowadays, the title "Master Smuggler" must be synonymous with "Verbally Abuse Me" because whenever I put up the master smuggler title, that's all I seem to get.

When I have my title set to something else, like "Quickdraw", 90% of the tells I get are from friends, and even the tells from strangers are (mostly) polite.

I get less than10% of my income from faction sales (PvPis dead on Intrepid)and maybe 1% of my income from slicing. The rest is from missions, or selling resources, so I don't really feel the need to have the master smuggler title up anymore. It's a shame because I used to really enjoy the social interactions I had with customers (look at my posts back in August of last year) but nowadays I find it easier to deal only with people I know already.

I have to agree with you there. Currently I just slice for friends and a couple weaponsmiths that I have long term contracts with. If nothing else I can hunt and explore without having to answer emailsor /tells every five minutes.

Again....... Look at what you've all said! We have the power to shut down and effect the player base. The ones who wish to cross the picket line will suffer, they'll be so overwhelmed it wont be "fun".

Think about it.....

Personally I think I'll put mine on. And if asked for business I'll state "Boycott" and refer them to the smuggler forums!

I have never had the MS title tag on because it seemed silly from the RP point of view. I have always just been some businessman going about his normal everyday life like everyone else. To me putting up the MS title tag is like hanging your wanted poster on your chest.

I've proudly worn my Master Smuggler title for almost a year now, but I think I have to agree.... the title is coming off. Smuggling in the ground game is "not compelling" so, I'm not really a smuggler. A slicer perhaps, but not a smuggler. There is no smuggler. <waves hand>

No, what I have said is that I am removing my title. I will not make myself to be found quite so easily (hmmm, should be that way anyway...I am a Smuggler)

I will play and try to have fun in the game as it is, but I am frustrated to a point that half the time I don't really want to play. I log on and sit. Or I log on and walk around. Or I log on and help people.

I have been nearly everywhere. I have earned more than enough money (Bank balance is well in the 9-figure range). There are no new goals for me as a Smuggler. Mandalorian armor..can't wear. Geo-caves ... easy ... been there, done that. Corvette...been there too ... not easy, but not worth the abuse on the armor (in my opinion).
