Greetings all, I'm a relatively new slicer, I just finished grinding my Slicing xp, and got Slicing IV last night. I have a few questions for you all that I'm hoping you can answer.

1) My understanding is that there is absolutely nothing we can do to effect the quality of slices or the type of slice. It is all random, with the exception that Slicing IV improves the results of weapon slicing vs. Slicing II. Is that correct?

2) Since there are no Skill mods listed for slicing, my understanding is that no other skills affect slicing other than the 4 in the line. Is that correct?

3) Does Master Smuggler increase your skill at slicing? The skill description does not mention it, but I have had a lot of people ask me if I was a master, implying that master smuggler can slice better than someone with Slicing IV.

1. Yes there is nothing you can do to effect the slice.

2. Correct you can get higher % at slicing 4 I believe.

3. Yes Master Smugglers can get higer % on their slices. Slicing four cap on Weapons is 30% while Master is 35%. Slicing four cap for armor is 40% while Master is 45%.

I am listing the majority opinion on percent increases, there have been rare reports of Slices outside these ranges, but 99.9% of reported Slices fall within these ranges. No one has the facts but the Devs, and they ain't talkin...

Slicing 1:

• Weapon: N/A
  
• Armor: N/A

Slicing 2:

• Weapon: 10-25% Speed or Damage
  
• Armor: N/A

Slicing 3:

• Weapon: 10-25% Speed or Damage
  
• Armor: 5-20% Effectiveness
  
• Armor: 5-30% Encumbrance

Slicing 4

• Weapon: 10-30% Speed or Damage
  
• Armor: 5-30% Effectiveness
  
• Armor:15-40% Encumbrance

Master Smuggler:

• Weapon: 15-35% Damage or Speed
  
• Armor: 11-35% Effectiveness
  
• Armor: 20-45% Encumbrance
