Thread: Has the whole world gone mad??

No, I don't mean the Privateer smuggleresque faction. I mean that Selonian guy that only speaks with Smugglers (ie Ground Smugglers) now gives out missions. DOCKING AND SMUGGLING-type missions. For US.


Now, all I need is someone with a Smuggler account on Test to confirm it.

HA! that'd be something else. wow. man, I can't wait to see if that's true because wow. That'd throw everything I've come to know and believe about the smuggler's lot in this game into question.

Don't feel too special, as I understand it, we're not the only one's who have something like this... but I could be wrong.. all rumors until I see it. Plus I'm trying to keep off the forums for a couple of days with the whatever is going on with them... and the fact that I almost cancelled my account. Only reason I didn't is because I just made my 3 month payment, so I'm gonna wait a little while longer before I make my final decision.

PS- I kind of fear us getting this. If they give us this, someone is bound to try and cry foul whenever they do get to adding ground content.

...and some way touse smuggler-only skills in completing these missions so profession and level have some bearing, other than as a mere "filter" for access.

It will just be an insult if the missions given are just the same run-of-the-mill missions everyone else can get.


Kinda like giving dancers a quest to get a new dance..... that is broken and only the dancer can see it.

Oh poo. I was 4333 smuggler alliance, and when I realized that there werent going to be any smuggling missions, I dropped it for rebel pilot.

You know what my real problem with them implimenting this now is?


We were SPECIFICALLY told by GreenMarine that wewould NOT have to have JtL to experience Smuggler-specific content. Now...not only has that turned out to be false (without JtL, ground based Smugglers are still getting squat) with the introduction of these Smuggler only missions (if that's truly what they are), but every other profession in the game also gets to experience "smuggling" (small "s") content without being in the Smugglers.


As if my respect for the Dev team wasn't already low enough...is there a layer somewhere below bedrock?

I hear that there are smuggler-only missions at the Talus-station in Testing right now. Is this true??! It can't be! Lies!!

I've heard this in another thread, no verification on my part, but it seems too good to be true, like it's Smuggler Aliiance only...

I've heard nothing about this...but that sounds about right...


Sadly...it does nothing for me. I went Imp Pilot with some friends of mine, and somehow joining the "Smuggler's Alliance" just didn't seem *right* to me, considering that I could just as easily join it as a Novice Artisan as I could as a Master Smuggler...
