Thread: Need some advice... Starting from Scratch

Ok so here's my dilema...
I was at Celebration with some friends and to make a long story short one of my friends came home with a free collector's edition curtisy of a good memory and a lucasarts employee.
So he'll be logging in next week never having set foot in an mmorpg before. I really want him to like the game since as of yet none of my irl friends play.
My primary character is a Human, Imp Colonel, Master Smuggler/Jack of all Trades on Lowca that has of late gotten so bored with the game that my main interaction is selling old junk, slicing for people and collecting art.
If I get him to make his first character on Lowca I can provide credits and gear to get him started and even help him level. Problem is that Lowca's population is wanting and most of the people I used to play there with are gone onto other things. (Its sad to have 40 names in a friends list and only see one of them at a time very occasionally.)
So this has me considering starting from scratch on a new server with him and just being noobs together doing missions and hunting kreetles and staying away from Dathomir.
So here's my question to all of you... is it worth changing servers to find one with more people and if so which one to go to? A server with a GCW not dominated by one side would be nice. I will of course be working towards Master Smuggler again and probably Master Commando with some Artisan and/or Medic.

Chilastra has a nice sized population, not too big, not to small, not much lag. I just started a new toon there, got into a nice sized guild with several active members. If you're interested contact Thoch there and well get you both singed up. As far as the GSW, I'm not sure who is winning, but I see a good deal of players from both sides.
