i have looked everywhere imaginable for some information on how this is done or if it is even possible - if anyone has any info please let me know been driving me crazy the last two times i have come back
- thanks
was a smugglet for a time and could not slice them got a message saying it was damaged and couldn't be sliced or something similar - surely there is a way to op them - specifically the ones in the wooly palace
opps maybe i should clarify - not locked containers i am talking about the locked magseal containers found in dungeons

Ok Locked Containers can be sliced open, but if they were sliced and damaged (pre- release 19) than they are junk, destroy it.

The option to slice comes up, but if you select it, you get some sort of message along the lines of "just like you can't smuggle anything, this locked magseal container has a broken mechanism that even your master smuggler skills cannot overcome, so there, nah nah nah! - Love and kisses, the developers."

Oh, that was perfect! Good one!
I remember being called all the way from Coronet on a Slicing run in the Nightsister stronghold or something on Dathamir... My friends wanted me to unlock a magseal they found, and stupid of them and me... neither of us realized they could be opened. I wasted 30 minutes getting there, only to be owned by a nightsister.
I wasn't combat oriented back then. The devs need to consider putting some valuable loot in there, like region related loot... something to encourage smugglers to be in groups, besides their CC abilities.
Example:
Nightsister stronghold = crystals
Deathwatch Bunker = Mandalorian Related stuff (guns, armor, treasure)
Imperial Bases = Prototype weaponary
Rebel bases = Stolen Imperial stuff
Pirate bases = Contraband
Jedi enclaves = crystals, old lightsabers, robes, holocrons, datapad relating to old jedi adventures (revan, malak, exar kun, clone wars...)
and better then that... LOOT COMPONENTS, give us a way that only smugglers can get hold of this stuff, we should get first dibs on it when slicing open the containers...
Stuff to expand the loot and content aspect of the game

Can't do anything in their locked state. They are on a timer that unlocks at certain intervals.
