In the FAQ at the top of the smuggler forums (http://giz.rebelsquadrons.org/Yarr.html) it says that bio-linked weapons CAN be sliced, but yet im hearing lots of people say that they CAN'T be sliced. So can someone confirm this please? Can they or can they not be sliced? If they can't be sliced, will a hotfix enable this in the near future?

They can... until you actually bio-link them.

Sorry let me re-phrase my question. My question is.... can you slice a weapon AFTER it has been bio-linked. Because in the FAQ is says you can.

This is an exact quote from the FAQ:

"Can I slice my [insert item] after it has been bio-linked?
Yes, you can still slice a bio-linked item."

I bio-linked my katarn knucklesrightafter I got them because of what FAQ said, and I knew it would be a few days before I got the components I needed and to find a smuggler to slice them.

If I was just screwed out of a few million to buy another pair of knucklers beacuse of what the STICKIED FAQ said, then im gonna be P'O'ed.

Everyone says read the stickies.. blah blah blah. Well yeah.. reading the sticky could of just cost me a few million credits.

My answer still stands. No, you can't slice it after it has been bio-linked. That part of the FAQ is erroneous.

Wow, I get screwed over a few million credits by actuallyreading the stickies. Nice job to whoever runs the smuggler forum.

EDIT: Do you know if there will be a future patch that will allow slicing of weapons after they have been bio-linked?

Well even after causing me alot of trouble, I kindly ask the forum master to change the error in the FAQ so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I can definitely confirm that once an item is Bio-Linked it cannot be sliced. I didn't even get the radial option on the 3 items that were already bio-linked.

Did your knucklers stop working because you didn't get them sliced? You make it sound like someone else ruined your toy.

Let me ask you something: How did that error get past you? If there's an inaccuracy and you didn't contribute to any research, was it an error of omission on your part? We're not happy about it either, but F F S don't blame someone else who made an effort to try and get info out while you sat and griped about your Monkey Paw.

Also, keep in mind that it might be possible to slice a bio-linked item if it's linked to the person doing the slice. Anyone care to confirm or deny that theory?

the answer is no, even if you're the smuggler slicing, on your own bio-linked weapons, you still cannot slice it. I failed to read about this before bio-linking my trando pistol, after teir1 speed, teir2 damage...hoping to finish tier3 damage once I got the core booster. Sadly....its stuck at tier1 speed, tier 2 damage. (thank goodness i had another trando I could fully slice before linking)

hopefully they'll remove this stopper...
