1) Where does the smuggler revamp currently stand? In concept or in development?
2) When can we expect the Smuggler revamp to take place? Give us a development timeline, including projected dates for things that take place before the Smuggler revamp. That way, when other things get pushed back and miss their date, there's justification for ours getting pushed back. We're tired of taking a back seat to things like Swoop tracks.
3) Can we expect any kind of improvements before the major revamp, if only to tide us over?
At this point, I've stopped becoming interested in what we're getting and instead I'm more focused on WHEN we're getting it. If we allow them to keep our revamp in development schedule limbo, we're going to get shafted time and time again.

Concept. The GreenMarine is working on the Smuggler revamp in his spare time. As he can he will post feedback threads for the smugglers to go through, discuss and revise.

As we have said earlier, we have a lot to get done before the smuggler revamp. We want to make sure it is done right, so expect it to be sometime after JTL.
3) Can we expect any kind of improvements before the major revamp, if only to tide us over?
Resources are stretched fairly thin, making sure we do things right. If we didn't, you would hang us.We don't want to make any promises, because if we can't meet them for one reason or another, you will hang us then as well. It's a no-win situation.
We would rather get things done right,so please understand that we have other goals that have to be met aside from the smuggler expansion.

How's about this.
"Can you please tell us how the Dev teamsee's the future of the Smuggler profession. What is YOUR vision of one of the most prolific professions in the Star Wars saga."
What do you want it to be? GreenMarine, though working on JTL, is working on the Smuggler revamp whenever possible. He will post his ideas for your community to review, revise and eventually make this a revamp everyone will enjoy.
(Sorry, but I'm serious that these are the types of answers you will get. We have tried these before)

With all due respect to you, Caylin... if you take a look at the Jedi and BH boards, you'd see how much of a mucked up fess the Jedi revamp has created for those who got it. Not that it doesn't decrease my ire at the attention the profession is getting. If we waited for the developers to get it right, the game would shut down without us seeing a single bit of attention from the developers beyond their repetitive requests for information from us.
It is pretty obvious that "In Testing" is a joke, because you would think that a majority of the issues that are coming up between the BH missions against Jedi, the FRS XP farming and the balance of the Jedi trees would have been resolved way before they were allowed to be put on the production servers and give everyone heartburn. We're paying customers, not their beta testers.
In fact, a lot of it should have been tested in house before even making it to the Test Center servers. Abuses (I wouldn't say exploits because they're not bugs, but probably unforseen instances where the system appears unbalanced) with the XP farming at POI points, bugs where BHs can clone center camp and kill Jedi, Force Run blitzes on opposing faction camps. And the fact the developers are not communicating with the community on whether or not these issues were intentional, are going to be fixed, or whatever, is also not a good sign.
This like a window into the future when our own revamp occurs. We're getting promises that we're going to be fixed like the Jedi, but we're going to be rife with bugs and unbalances, and the developers are going to go incommunicado with us over them. I think my point's pretty clear. It's not going to be done right the first time. I'm a software developer myself, and I know for a fact that nothing ever is done right the first time. It will always have bugs and issues that need to be addressed. The speed and efficiency in which they are addressed make the product.
So, what I'm trying to say is, the excuse of We would rather get things done right doestn't fly. At least with me.
As for making promises, promises were made that we'd see a response from GreenMarine two weeks ago. Instead we hear by proxy from ThunderHeart that GM is too busy to even tell us he's too busy.
I know you're acting in both the interests of the community and the developers and that is a tight rope to walk, but honestly, how optimistic are you over this revamp? Not just the fact that it will occur, but that when we get it, it won't be like it was pulled from a Jawa sandcrawler, brushed off and handed to us like an R5 unit with a bad motivator.
