I'm sick of these containers they have 'slice' on the radial menu but you can't slice them

I feel your pain, trust me I do. I think they once said they were going to fix them.... but that never happened.

**** ATTENTION ****

They are not broken!!!!!

They are just on a timer. Some of them were never intended to be opened.

If ya go to lets say the Janta Stronghold, you'll notice that "some" of the mags can be opened (not sliced)

But the next time your there that same mag cannot be. But, a different one can be.

But, I do agree. I feel that we Smugglers should be able to open (slice) them all.

No, they ARE broken, but you're not entirely incorrect.

When dungeon's respawn (or, more specifically, when the container respawns its loot) there's a chance for the containers to be locked, and (obviously) a chance for them to be unlocked. The unlocked ones work fine, the locked ones are broken. We are supposed to be able to slice them if they're locked, but we can't due to a bug. It's a very very old bug. I recall hearing about it the second week I was a Smuggler, which was back in July '03. It's a bug, always has been a bug.

You're correct in how containers work, that they can be locked during one trip to the dungeon but unlocked the next time you go (and vice versa), but the locked ones are bugged.

Yeesh I thought you could slice them. Chalk this up in the "OMFG Fix this!" Category.

This has been broken since Beta 3.

And yes, it's been a pain in the ass the whole time.
