I've had my 3rd jedi mark use Feign Death, then going LD to escape death. Its extremely frusterating and I'm wondering if there is some trick to stop this kind of cowardice. Feign Death isn't a bad thing for normal smugglers, but jedi are using it to escape the xp penalties that other jedi have to live with. Who needs to be careful about visiblity if you can just press a button and save yourself.

It's something causing concern among smugglers too. At one point posture up attacks used to pull someone out of a feign, but I doubt that's true anymore.

Its doens't work anymore for sure, just tried it. There needs to either be a timer, or automatic incap if you go LD while FD.

this is a very big concern for me. I LOVE my feign death, thou i rarely use it. In this situtation i think if it aint broke don't fix it. before pc bounty marks there was no concern about it (to my knowledge anyway). No it is broke, not cuase of a glitch or expoilt or anything on behalf of most smugglers out there. But due to a small group of people, a skill of mine is now getting cross-examined and I fear the worst for it. Should I be nerfed for what a dabbler is doing with my lovingly mastered prof? Im sticking on this subject like a bad stink!

Are you sureposture up isn't working?

One of the things I was really ticked about at the summit was the take that a few devs that using posture up on a smuggler to bring them out of feign death was working as intended.

Are we possitive this is no longer functioning anymore? I was led to believe that they wanted it to work that way. I'm currently writing a frickin long post here concerning that and a few other things related to the combat revamp that I'm concerned about.

Don't get me wrong though, having some problems with the combat revampdoes not make it any less of a 200% change for the better concerning combat in the game.

I didn't personally test it, but another BH showed up with the mission on my mark and had startleshot and it didn't seem to work. I could do further testing with my smuggler account I suppose.

It wasn't a post but part of a discussion at the summit at both the main talk we had and a side talk I had at a bbq place. It was one of those side-note things not directly related to the combat revamp discussion, which carried across to a concern many of us have about feign death utility in combat situations.

So I think I'm ok by sharing what I did, anything more though would be stepping over the line I think.

That would be great if you could. I worry about people feeding false information in order to still maintain that defense.
