...Leave one of my favorite professions.
I have been a smuggler twice now in my two years playing and with all the new slicing changes, stuff not converting, and just losing hope for the missions it is time for me to go back to my other fav profession of doctor. I had a blast this time around and oddly the best part about being a smuggler was the forum here. You all are a great bunch and way more fun then any other profession board.
/tiphat to all the ones sticking it out and I hope the revamp doesnt end up as one big dissapointment. Good luck to you all.

I hear you... I have been a smuggler for over a year and a half now but the fun is running thin. I jumped at the slice revamp hoping for some love but I'm not all that impressed... and I may be dropping smuggler also... 
I have put up with alot hanging onto smuggler like I have but even tho theres light at the end of this tunnel somewhere I'm not sure if I'm still up for the ride there. I have said for the last year that being a smuggler for long, it might be tough to play this game without my smuggler skills, so I am going to give this a lot of tought but I am leaning towards dropping smuggler...

The problem with Smugglers geting love is the fact that it usually comes in the form of a great big colonoscopy scope that was designed for horses. No lube included.

I think that if I ever left the smuggler profession that i would do it slowly and exzagerated.
