Thread: Slicing Changes
Smugglers
- Bio-Linked items should now be able to be sliced.
- Weapons with power-ups can no longer be sliced. You must remove the power-up before you can slice the weapon.
/tips hat in Blix's direction

nice one... number 2 is cool
Multi Passenger Vehicles
- Removed the Temporary Enemy Flag (TEF) restriction for riding in multi-passenger vehicles.
i know thats not our stuff, but does this basicly means free ride for the jedi after they got attacked by a BH?

That is exactly what it means. Go figure.
But on the plus side, now I can slice my Katarn Knuckles and actually use them while looking for that elusive illegal core.
Im not exactly sure if this is the case. Jedi and BH has a different type of enemy flag. I think the TEF they are refering to is when your and you group of factional buddies roll up to an opposite faction base to take it out. With the TEF in place, you have to wait for it to clear before you all can roll off again in your "APC".

Fantastic....you can now slice bio-linked weapons with a slicing system that does not work properly![]()
I can't wait to waste more of my weapons...
Made an elite carbine today with 1001 max damage and a SAC of 73, I also had an illegal core booster that i paid 2 mil for. With the ICB the carbine would have been DMG capped and SAC capped and well worth the 5.5 million creds worth of loots that went in to it. So i done a 2% slice anddmg went to 1021, Then the 4% slice was added and dmg went to 1041. Happy that my ICB was gonna cap my weapon (Cap is 1063) i applied the 8% only to recieive a max dmg of 1046???? 5 more points of damage!!!
So i submitted a ticket explaning the above to be told "We know it doesn't work...check the forums for when it will be fixed"
Ithink that getting the system to work should be of a higher priority than allowing it to interfere withor even waste other ingame items.

The slicing cap is lower than the crafting cap.
Is there a list of said caps or any other reference material that i can read over?
I like to know my caps ![]()
Oh and i can tell you that the slice cap for an advanced laser rifle must be 1 dmg point below crafted cap. That what i got yesterday even though it should have been capped. ![]()
Cheers

We don't have enough information on it atm, maybe you could start a thread to list the caps?

No that is NOT exactly what it means. For christ sake people you act like that is the only stipulation for riding a vehicle now.
A character is allowed to ride with someone:
1. There is room in the vehicle.
2. If they are in the same group.
3. If they are not in combat
4. If they are not in an opposing faction
5.
6. If they are factionally overt, then the driver must also be factionally overt.
If they are in combat they cannot ride a vehicle. That is still the major factor
Calm, deep breaths, calm deep breaths
I'm told that the TEF in question refers to the TEF that used to be aplicable in the old covert/overt system, which still had some lingering effects for the 2.5 minutes it took for the TEF to be removed, namely, not being able to get into others' vehicles.
