Thread: Smuggling Request to the devs
Ok to put in Incremental requests to the devs on how to Slowly fix the smuggler profession. Lets start with something small. HUGE to us but relatively small in comparison to the Devs.
How bout fixing the looting system for our smuggling components. Either add them into the other crafters to make, or actually make things drop as intended. That in itself would be a nice start.

I completely agree with you.
too bad the devs will probably not evan read this thread.
What alot of people forget is that we arnt getting a revamp. By Revamp i mean one large publish that fixes all our woes, it simply wont happen, the devs have stated as such in the past. There original intention now is to bring out small changes and lesser revamps and spread our content out over a longer period of time.
From there standpoint it makes better sense since it allows them to work on other areas of the game that are in dire need of attention.
Fixing the loot drop rate would be a nice starting point but personaly id prefer that loot to be smuggler mission obtained. either as a reward or as contraband or looted in mission.

It my biggest problem with SOE, they offer you cake with the left hand but get ready to slap you in the teeth with the right while also peeing all over your legs. When you look down and say "hey what the hell" they whack you in the teeth.
Theres so much that needs fixing and i really dont think SOE can do it but i agree with your OP, i just needed to go on a tangent 
We've been asking for a revamp, asking for it to come any way we could get it. Small bits, one big publish, it doesn't matter as long as we can get it.
At this point, there is little to nothing left to ask for. It's all been asked for. It's all been debated. Us and SLs have had IC docs on forums since shortly after launch and neither have seen any kind of serious additions.
Not only that, but SMUGGLING apparently is too big for them or else we would have had it already. So go ahead and ask for whatever you want man, because we can't seem to get the only thing that matters at this point.
Furthermore, don't let the discussion about what has been said on other boards fool you. Other professions are getting fixed because of the game functions and professions associated with them. Don't think that because we've asked for something big we aren't getting it. Many other professions have gotten HUGE chunks of development while we've gotten lame "small" things tossed our way like the Jawa Mini Game.
In other words, don't buy the hype. It still comes down to an unwillingness or inability to get the job done by SOE/LA.
So We should give up? Bah, I dont buy that, guess im too optimistic that Someone will listen even if its just to fix 1 small part of our problems. Even if its Only 1 small part, at least that is progress right?

I'm not saying we should give up, I'm saying don't buy the hype. What we want is big, there's no way around that. The slicing change that THEY put forth was supposed to be big and we got a gimped version of it.
All I'm saying is ask for whatever you want, but after 2 years a lot has already been asked for both big and small. And in the end, anything short of smuggling, whether big or small, seems rather pointless to us.
