I like the control we have over where it goes and what it does.
And RP'ing cracking my knuckles before I get down to it is fun for me and the customer too 
I let 'em know what's going on...and if it can't possibly get any faster I tell 'em, and recommend other options.

The actual slicing isn't that bad. It's the preparation. And the fact that the components don't stack. And that the high level components are very hard to loot. OH, and then there's the part about not beign able to EVEN SLICE DAMAGE TO THE CRAFTING CAP!
Other than that, it's fine.

and don't forget the lack of a fun and interesting mini-gamevia visual interface.
or the utter lack of illegality of sliced items.
