I had a major concern with the Devs satment, Nov skills for Nov skills , Elite for Elite

Im a triple master - Master Smuggler, Master Pistol, Master TK.

Thats Nov Skils - 29+29+2 = 60

Elite Skills - 189

This works great but the nov doesnt work in the respec.

Smuggler will take me 29 + 29 = 58 , I need another 14 for Pistol

I have plenty of Elite points to get dual master , but not the Pre-Reqs

Will Elite Transfer to Nov skills on any translation , like 2 Nov for 1 Elite.

I would hate to be limited to only master smuggler now since SOE decided to change the Pre-Reqs and wont let me transfer my elite skill points.

Since this is common in the smuggler community can we get some correspondence clarification.

I may just be paranoid, but I see the devs overlooking triple masters and killing folks without taking into account differnt templates.

Any inptus would be great.

Well, I'll tell ytou what happens when this actually goes on TC3

As I am a Tripple master as well (I'll also see if they allow jedi respecing, and see what happens with my BH, I think he'll have too many novice skill points.. so he's screwed the other way

It's too early to be answering questions on respec, as they're still working on whatthe system will entail. At the MOMENT it works as has been described, but it's already been said by a dev that they're reviewing it.

This is becoming mroe and more annoying to players as time goes on. There has been 3 "offical" qoutes about the respec and each one has been different. Ther first one to MMORPG.com saying all skills respec. The next was in Blair's CU Update, which says scout, medical classes, combat, along with entertainer classes would be getting a respec. The last one was in the Chat with Stratics where one said, as posted above, trying to make it novice for novice elite for elite. SWg just need to announce what they going to do so these questions stop. This has become the Holocron affair all over again. Saying one thing offically then changing it then switching once again.

That for instance my professions, on this account I have decided to go Cabineer/BH. If it's the way it is inthe last statement, I will have 3 of the 5 lines I am using now just for BH open to respec, but would only be able to respec them on novice skills. Who says I want more novice skills? I sure haven't. I know the Devs do not want to give a free ride to people but what the heck is a free respec anyway other then a free ride? Sure some people going to get a better deal outof this then others but why should certain classes or simply people who have certain novice skills be forced not to get the full use of their skill points because because the Devs made the novice skills easier to obtain then elites ones are? If the respec goes in that way it becomes pretty much worthless to myself because those points I would have to use novice wise on simply things I don't want. Hopefully the Devs do the smart and fair thing and just do a full respec and get it over with. Some people will get more then others out of it while others will feel it's cheating because they already ahve their template they want to keep.

For me, the respec isn't to anyoing, after all, grinding xp doesn't take up alot of time. The only think I doesn't like is that Pistoleer, my main supporting master profession to Smuggler, now costs 14 points more since it has the prequierment of ranged support IV.

In the new system, melee profession are for the best effect stacked with other melee professions, and the same goes for ranged combat, problem is, that for Smugglers, we really don't have to much of a choise. True wecould go Master Smuggler, Master rifleman, but that would be a waste of 14 points since pistoleer has the pistols IV as prerec as smuggler.

Main problem I see it, is what to do with the points you got after youbecomemasterpistoleer and master smuggler. After all, 53 points arn't much to play around with.

As I see it, you got 3 choises. Either use them in the BH pistol line ie BH 0040, dump them in commando as novice commando got prerec unarmed IV and ranged support IV and those you have from being pistoleer and smuggler allready. Finally you could dump it in carbineer for added suppressive specials.

Commando gives more boxes perbuck sort of speaking, and I do realise you have no healing ablilityof your own, but I have always been a pure combat smuggler, using FD (when it worked as it should have worked #"=¤)#"¤% ) to "heal up"

However, on the paper right now, considering that there might be no hardcap on skills, if your going for ranged combat this is by far the best template: Master BH, Squadleader 0404 + either master rm, master carb or master pist.

Master RM/Master BH, 0404 Squad leader gives an HUGE general ranged bonus to accuracy/speed, aswell astons of melee & ranged def (170/250)

But for the smuggler you will never see such high numbers, but in all it is master smuggler, master pistols+ the rest in commando, bh or carbineer. I will most likly take the carbineer path for the extra crowd control + being able to use my =¤)"=#¤)%"=#¤) RIS armor

Some info from TC bria - Remember this is VERY VERY early info and is HIGHLY subject to change... They were testing ITEM CONVERSION not respec... but its fun anyway

My Bria Char before CU:

: Brawler 4000
: Marksman 4403
: Medic 2000
: Rifleman 0003
: TK - Master
: Smuggler - Master
: Heightened senses 0004
: Rebel Pilot 4433
: 1 free skillpoint

Upon logging into TC3bria for the first time I got prompted with a you can respec dialog. Just to see what I could do I said "ask me later"... and then the box went away. My char is now:

: Brawler 4000
: Marksman 4403
: Medic 2000
: Rifleman 0003
: TK - Master
: Smuggler - Master
: Heightened senses 0004
: Rebel Pilot 4433
: -18 skillpoints
: CL80

At what point willt they force me to respec? I dunno.
What happens if I try and change my skills outside of a repsec? I dunno.
What happens if I try and train a pilot box and i'm in the negative with sp? I dunno.
Will I implode if I try to attack something? I dunno.
