Since I hit master people have been asking me really weird things. Like where they can buy candles, how to make armor, what do broken data disks do? And it's not like I'm slicing for them anyway and they just say "Oh by the way do you know where I can find....?" No. People just randomly come up to me and ask me where to find things, etc. It's opens a lot of possiblities for RP so I like it, but does it happen to you?

Back when I did a lot of slicing, I used to get fencing questions constantly. The strange thing was, I COULD usually find what they wanted--I guess the social network you build when you're meeting face-to-face with so many different people per day just opens you up to knowing how to find things. I used to make an okay living off being the provider, in fact.

bingo, I found that I sliced for so many folks that I would always know someone who knew someone and I slowly built quite a dare I say 'Bothan Info Net '. If only being an information broker were a way to make a living in SWG....

I really like being able to find stuff for people. Makes me feel like a real smuggler. Occasionally my high level combat friends give me loot to sell because they don't have any merchant skills and don't want to use the forums, I make 15% off the sale for the service. That's fun, too. I wish there was a way I could "sell" information.

Here's something I've just started doing. Mostly for my own enjoyment, but I'm hoping the idea takes off:

One of the Dancers in my guild placed a cantina in town not too long ago. Since I've some Artisan, I volunteered to drop a vendor in the joint and keep him stocked with basic drinks and "bar food" at a cheap price. Just for RP purposes and so my guildies don't get too thirsty during a show. Now, during the course of play, I tend to collect your usual number of transmission disks, orders and treasure maps. I used to either throw them up for sale on the bazaar or just destroy them outright. Recently, however, I've been throwing them onto the bartender Vendor for cheap. Since he's not registered on the new Global Vendor Search function, you have to either know where he is or just stumble across him. But now, if you know who to talk to and slip him a few credits, he might have some information for you as well as a cold mug of Jawa Beer...

If they ever fix the gaming tables, I might just open up a shady casino and I'll make sure to fiddle around with the Place Vendor skill until I get a nice Bothan to install there as the local member of the Bothan Spynet.

Hello, I must be going. I cannot stay, I came to say I must be going. I'm glad I came but just the same I must be going.

It tapered off after I took my "HELPER" title down.

Then pretty much ended when I took my "Master Smuggler" title down.

Now I'm just another uninteresting face in the crowd and I prefer it that way.

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."
