Just charge 10k a slice. Works for me.. the number to tells i get has gone down.. but hey i still make more money off the slices then i did when i charged the normal and sliced for anyone and everyone that wanted.. Go figure

I charge the same price as the current doctor buffing at the local spaceport. Then I politely and tactfully call the people in question stupid if they don't like my price, using the buffing doc as my example.

The really ironic thing is, there seem to be fewer Master Smugglers, or at least fewer Master's willing to slice. So, if you are a Master and have your tag up willing to slice, you can pretty much name your price.

I logged in tonight, just to check on some things. Before I was fully loaded in, I had a /tell come in, and while I was answering that one, I had a second. The first one was for a full suit of armor. The second was for a single weapon. I quoted both a price of 10k per slice, got told "Not a problem" by both customers, and did the job (I really wish they would hurry and fix the damn autopull issue).

20 minutes later, I logged out having made 225k in my short time online (125k by selling 15k of rancor meat, and 100k from slicing).

But, I think it's getting to the point where people are getting desperate for Master Smugglers, and at the same time, Master Smugglers are getting burnt out on the profession (or slicing anyway)...especially if you've been a Master for a long time...and looking for something else to do. Wether that's chasing Force sensativity or just hanging out with pals, I don't know.

After quite a lengthly break from the game I was in one night and unknowingly had my Master Smuggler tag up. I got a question from somebody asking if I could slice for them. Not being able to remember what I had previously charged and having a temporary brain fart when I thought I recalled it, I told 'em "sure thing, I charge 1k per percentage change."* They said no problem and traded me a suit of armor. I made bank off that exchange

. I honestly don't even remember if I gave "good" slices or not as I didn't think anything about my pricing being out of wack at the time.

* I used to charge 100cr per percentage... as I remembered when I was telling my guild mates how much I just made

Damn, I'll have to try that. People mock me on a daily basis when I tell them I charge 5000cr per slice, imagine having a top limit of 45,000cr a slice. *Evil Laughter*

I charge 3k for slices that are below 25%, 5k for 25-29%, and 10k for anything 30% or higher. When people ask why I charge that much, I mention the fact that no one has a problem paying 10k for a 3 hour buff session, and that I'm technically buffing their weapon stats... and that my buffs last for the entirity of their weapon.

Sure, it doesnt take that much time and effort slicing a weapon or a piece of armor, but it doesnt take that much time and effort doing a 26k janta mission on dantooine either... especially with fanshot.

To be honest, not many people complain about my prices, I just think thatalot of peopleare too used to the days when smugglers would do slices for 2k.

I price on a sliding scale. Guildmates and Town members do not need to pay for my services. Some do.

If I am wearing my Master Smugg tag and I get a /tell asking for a slice. I quote based on what I am doing.

If I am going somewhere or doing something that I have to stop and wait and then I charge up to 10k. Usually 7500.

If I am waiting for someone or am burning off BF in a cantina. Then charge 5k.

If asked about my prices, I explain that I am busy, and I will slice but for an increased price. Most don't complain they just go somewhere else.

When asked why I am wearnig my Master Smuggler if I am not going to slice. I respond that I worked hard to grind smuggler and I am proud of my accomplishment and I would other to recognise my work.

Well i charge nothing

I have been master smuggler for about 2-3 months and i have only charged for a slice about 5 times i think...the way it works for me is i say just tip whatever you think i fair...cos i am not really using a lot of cash on smuggler stuff...so no matter what they tip, it will be a profit...and the best thing is that i get really good deals on other stuff, like food, weapons and armor cos people feel like they have to give you something back for the kindness you have shown them
