Just a few thoughts from me to you

Smuggler planned pricing

High End Weapons:
-Damage Slices = 500 creds/per %
-Speed Slices = 250 creds/per %
-HAM Slices = 100 creds/per %

High End Armour/PSG's:
-Resist Slices = 500 creds/per %
-Encumb Slices = 200 creds/per % unless on psg's then 1k charge seeing as it doesn't do anything...lol

Noob Weapons:
-Damage Slices = 150 creds/per %
-Speed Slices = 100 creds/per %
- HAM Slices = 50 creds/per %

Noob Armour/PSG's:
-Resist Slices = 150 creds/per %
-Encumb Slices = 100 creds/per % unless on psg's then 1k charge seeing as it's useless

Noob Armour categorized as Bone, Chitin, Padded, Tantel and high end as Ubese, Comp, RIS, Wookie, Mandolorian.
As for weapons, well, I'm sure you've all been in the game long enough.

Now, you may be thinking, those prices are outrageous. Well, let's put it into perspective.

Example 1:
Customer brings you a nice T21 rifle. Heavy AP gun. Starts off as lets say 400 max dam. Even if you don't use the pup equip trick to obtain a higher slice and you manage a 35% slice on this weapon, he now has a 540 max dam T21. That in itself is a pretty nice weapon. Assuming he/she was half smart to begin with, they shouldn't have paid much more than 25k-35k for the rifle to begin with. They now have what most people advertise as an "uber" weapon on a vendor and charge into the hundreds of thousands range. So, in effect, he/she has just obtained a very nice weapon(even nicer if it was pup'ed during slice) for an extra 17500 credits. You just saved this person a crapload of money.

Example 2:
Customer brings you some Stun Comp. Layered for lets say Stun at 39%, Electric at 80% and a base of 67%. Now, this is some high end armour. I am almost quite positive that most people charge an arm and a leg for this stuff. I however am one of those that search and search till I find a good price. I myself pick up this exact armour at 250k per suit. I buy bulk and slice 10 sets at a time and mix and match my resist slices till I own a few sets of very nice PvP armour. Lets assume you achieve a 33%(believe that is highest attainable, correct?) resist slice. You now have a piece of armour at 89% base. (Damn fine armour) His/Her cost for that piece if buying full suits in bulk at good prices should range from anywhere between 25k and 35k. Anything more than that and I'm sorry but I honestly believe that they got ripped off. Anyhow, to summarize, they have now paid between 40k-50k credits for that piece of armour. TOO much you say?? Well, I personally have must have visited at least 50-100 armour shops on my server spreading galaxy wide. And I can assure you, a Comp Helm of those stats sells from anywhere between 100k-500k on a vendor. Again, a great savings to said customer.

Now, I went through this after reading that most people either charged around the 100 creds/per% - 150 creds/per % or a flat rate on weapons and armour of between 1k-5k per piece. Most people seem to agree that a smuggler makes no real money and I think that by instituting a pricing range as per above, you can make a little money at this profession. I mean, it won't make you super rich but also won't leave you in the poor house forever and ever either.

Signing off,
Soon to be smuggler( If I can ever finish force sensitive crap and unlock my next toon)

Most of us got away from the credits / % because it is too time consuming to keep a calculator near us to add up multiples slices.

And also, the moral of many other slicing cost prices...

CHARGE WHAT YOU WANT.

/agree, course since I stopped slicing for the public it dos not matter much to me. If I do slice for someone aI don't know I price it on 2 sliding scales the 'annoying bastar d scale' and the 'what I was doing when they asked scale'

I agree. A flat rate is much easier for yourself and the customer.

I cant count even more how often I wanted to put a blaster bolt through the head of my customer for asking me how much to pay...

after I told him 100C/% (looooong time ago), and said the result in spatial (I am talking about ONE item)

At those times I always wish I where less honest and would double or tripple...

so to speak of a tax for damaging my head because it suddenly falls on my desk multiple times.

"Are you selling FP?"

"Yepp, 120 per FP."

"How much for 10.000 FP?"

all good points...its getting so bad to listen to people complain. even after you told them its all random. i no longer run around with the profession tag on my head because i grow tired of slicing for the public. i still slice mostly for free to guildmates and friends of other guilds. if its not free its 5k....if i do happen upon a public slice i tell them 10-15k ..... pending my mood

I recently stopped the cred/% route and switched to an even number per slice, it makes everything so much easier

My head hurts now...

Too much math.

I'll stick to my current 10k per slice pricing.

May get me alot of flack from the idiots...but I still make a fair amount from the players who make millions per day and don't care what they pay.
