well, i guess that you did miss the sticky that says in big huge font that "nothing affects slicing"

That, or you just want to be burnt, lynched and skinned out by Caylin.

In any case, your answer is no, FS luck is only for better loots (or something like that)

I didn't know that the "NOTHING affects slicing" referred to Luck. I thought it was referring to all of the other non-factors like quality of tools, what you slice, etc...

Besides that thread is an old thread and didn't think that it was relevant to FS Luck as it is a recent development that nobody has gotten yet. So there was no way to know for sure until somebody got luck. If Luck was discussed somewhere in the 13 pages of posts I missed it as I didn't read them all. If that is flame worthy then be my guest....

Excuse me, but you are commiting serious crimes against logic here! Because I was starting to doubt myself, I looked up the meaning of the word 'nothing'.

noth·ing
pron.

  1. No thing; not anything: The box contained nothing. I've heard nothing about it.

  2. No part; no portion: Nothing remains of the old house but the cellar hole.

  3. One of no consequence, significance, or interest: The new nonsmoking policy is nothing to me.

n.

  1. Something that has no existence.

  2. Something that has no quantitative value; zero: a score of two to nothing.

  3. One that has no substance or importance; a nonentity: “A nothing is a dreadful thing to hold onto” (Edna O'Brien).

So, if Caylin says nothing affects slicing, then that's about luck too; because luck is something, and nothing is not anything.

It isn't a crime against logic because at the time the post was created it could have been "NOTHING" however circumstances change. Like the addition of the Luck skill mod. So, the situation could have been different now...

Ok...let's drop it already...apparently it isn't easy enough to say, "No, luck has no affect". Instead, attacks on my logic and understanding of the word nothing in addition to telling me to read the sticky (all 13 pages mind you). I did read the first page of the sticky and didn't see anything about luck...either way, just drop it, it isn't a big deal and in the future I will refrain from asking questions to the smuggler community without spending multiple hours reading every page of every stickied post...damn...

actually if u spent any time here you would find that this is the best community on the forums, we all give each other 5 stars just for the heck of it. the one star you got was prolly form a "One-sat bandit" who trolls forums handing out one stars. so your bad attitude and quick temper is what made people a little ticked with u, also the fact that stickies are on the very first page, at the very top. and obviously u did not read it well enough if u did not see the thing about luck. Please refrain from a quick temper in the future just because one person gives u a one-star, its not like they mean anything anyway

Great! That's exactly what the stickies are for: to educate you during downtime

i do not wish to flame you, but this is THE question that really makes Caylin very bad. He's a good boy if you put this particular detail apart, but he can get pretty mad on this one .

And for further info, if the thread is a sticky, that means it's up to date. Caylin may be leaving, he's doing his jobuntil his replacement arrives.
