I have amaster smuggler, and he is a rebel private. Now I want to rank him up as high as I can afford in credits. Now - I have two toons (Smuggler to buy and one to hold the faction).

For the sake of this conversation I will refer to Smuggler as toon1 and recipient as toon2

Help me out here as when i try to buy faction on toon1 I hit a celing (500) and can not buy any more faction - so I thought hey I will just delegate some faction to my other toon2 and then buy more faction to the celingon toon1 - then /del back from toon2 to toon1 to rank up so I can buy more and hold more faciotn.

Apparently this will not work - what am I doing wrong?

Yes, I have also read the buying faction guid that is linked from the sticky at the top.

Think you have to be overt to delegate the faction.

Also as the ratio is so bad at low ranks try delegating in smaller amounts, when you delegate it cannot take your standing to below 200, so you only have 300 fp and you have to take your private ratio into consideration.

From the FAQ you get 6.5 to 1 ratio at private, so that means you probably only be able to transfer about 45 fp for every 300 fp, so you lose about 255 FP each transfer.

Probably be more cost effective to go run missions till colonel

OMG, I just figured that out as I can only transfer about 57pts at a time costing me approx 300pts - WHAT A BIG FAT FREAKIN JOKE!

um dude....how many smugglers are on this forum??? how many are colonels?? i am sure if ya asked for some help w/ fp their would be a few of us raising our hands...you already know the cost and transfer rate....so one smuggler to another *raises hand* if ya need help w/ fp (imperial...il like to stay clean) ill be glad to assist.
