Smuggler Archive

I've had to drop Master Smuggler, after having the tag up since I've got it, nearly 6 months. I've had to, very very reluctantly to drop everything but the DF line.

It was gutting, my finger hovered over that 'surrender' button for like half an hour before I could bring myself to do it! My template was MS/TKM/0444 pistols, and was the best temp I have had since I started playing, no question. The defenses are fantastic, and your are a uber tank, and can pretty much take down anything pve bar Elders and Krayts etc. I loved it, Master Smuggler rocks so hard even in its current state, I even enjoyed slicing for gods sake! ;-)

Why did I drop it? Well I'm travelling in some pretty crappy countries with pretty crappy internet atm and can't get online as much as I would like, and I'm trying to finish FS grind. I had no unlocks and with my old temp, and have completed 2 trees since the village started. After being a big advocate of enjoying the game rather than using Nades to grind FS, I decided rightly or wrongly to go down that road. My main argument to myself is that the sooner I get it done the faster I can get my new toon to Master Smuggler again and as I'm on so little atm, using my old template is just taking longer than I want it to take. If I was on every day, as I'm used to I'd probably leave things as it was but well...*shrug*

Anyway this rambling Post is basically to say that Smuggler is still a great prof to have and I'm missing it already (especially as I couldnt slice my DLT20 I needed to grind Marksman rifles lol), and although I've not played all of them is certainly the one I've had the most fun with ingame so far, and will definitely come back too. The same goes for this forum in a big way, and I hope my residual Rogueness will still allow me entry! :-P

hehe I hear ya, and no intention of doing jedi/smug! lol. To be honest, I'm jonesing more for the 2nd slot than the Jedi atm.

I hear that, I wanted the 2nd slot and still do but my problem was once you hit Padawan you cant drop Jedi leaving my main toons temp a little jedi/smuggler/pistol/tks and over all worthless. This made me very upset as I was going to open the 2nd slot, drop the jedi stuff, regain my main temp and use the 2nd slot for a BH.

Totally man, was well pi**ed when I found out that was the way it worked. So decided to reinvent on new toon, make him smuggler and see how CU goes for rest of temp and work the Jedi in slow time and try and keep him low key
