Well... advice from strangers is usually worth exactly what you paid for....

But with that said, in situations I've had where I've been backstabbed I've always looked at them as learning experiences - you learn a little bit more about people, and it prepares you for the next time it happens (although hopefullyit doesn't happen again)

I hope after a period of reflection you come out of this a stronger, wiser person.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Perhaps I could help you out with my own tale of sorrow.

Not bragging, but I can be ultra dedicated. Who is shocked by that on this forum. Anyway even when BH was total hell I stuck through it. Everyday I was missioning till the cows came home. I still made the time to help out in game buds, and noobs too. So one day a friend of mine became a jedi. Now I had talked for weeks on end about how cool it was to hunt a jedi. Seeing that he became a jedi he developed a hatred for BHs. One day I got online as usuall started to send out my tells to check in with my friends, and noticed I was getting like no replies.

Eventually I finally got one to talk to me, and I asked him what the hell was going on. He finally told me that this friend of mine had marked me as a betrayer, and told me this story that I took 200k creds from some other bhs to tell them where he was training. Which was not true. These were people I regularly team speaked with. I knew where they lived, and what their family members names were. Needless to say I was hurt. No more so then when I found out that they had someone following me. Which really made my stomach crawl. Not only that but they had screenshots of me takeing a bribe for the info.

Anyway I confronted them on this, and demanded to see this screenshot, and find out who gave it to them. A month later I found out they had utterly made this stuff up trying to zerg me into fessing up.

In the end this guy I considered to be a friend turned alot of my friends on me. I probabally lost 15 or 16 good pals over this. Especially the jedi who had been my pal for months. A guy by the way I went out farming crystals for. Short and simple he was actually the one ratting himself out. Since he went out sabre hunting with 10 non jedis. Which not only got his names on the term, but seeing that his name was a derivation of his regular avatar name. Clued people into who it actually was they were hunting.

Needless to say this guy eventually turned on a few other people, and I have gotten some friends back with belated appologies. It still hurt like hell though.

Seeing you post in pink again certainly makes it seem like your feeling slightly better. I hope that the rest of you feels to your old scoundrelless self again soon. It's sad enough to see a smuggler sad, it's even sadder when it's the hottest scoundrel on the boards.

I'm with Yimaz when I say that the only friends in game I truly trust are my RL friends. I hope that the support you have received from us is proof, however, in the kindness and sincerity of those you may not even know so well on the other side of the computer screen.
