man I love feign death.... I use it to save my as on the corvette and I actully didn't die and was able to keep my buffs the whole way threw

I use it all the time in pvp when I'm unbuffed. The other day I was slicing for a guildie, we were both unbuffed, dude attacks me.. i stuffed some mind dots on him and feined. The guy kept attacking me while I was down and my guilie got in a few free shots and we managed to take him and his buddy out

Mine failed to work in the tusken fort againsta chief yesterday. Was somewhat surprised as I'm a Master Smuggler, and I tried it twice before he killed me.

I found it very usefull on the corvet... run run fiegn recharge run run feighn... lol

Feign Death is very inconsistent.
In the Geonosian dungeons the last few days, it has saved my arse several times.
However on the Corvette a few nights ago, I inadvertently got aggroed by three of the the 80K HAM Troopers on the top floor (I still don't know how). So I feigned death with a decent amount of HAM remaining (My feign death macro clears the combat queue). I saw the message "You prepare to feign death". I hit the macro two or three times... TWENTY SECONDS LATER I died. No message of any kind regarding whether it worked or failed or if it tried to do it more than once. Sit there and count to twenty seconds and tell me that is just a little bit ridiculous.

I've found that you need to have some HAM available to feign death, and you should stop running close to the moment that it goes into effect in your queue. It's never failed for me...

I feigned with at least 20% of my HAM bars remaining and it failed. That's why I was alive for 20 seconds after I feigned. So, no, it doesnt work every time. I should mention at the time I had 2 enhanced kiwis, a couple of Alert Droidekas, and some other cave trash all aggroing me!
