Okay, I was off for a while, but something JustG posted has my panties in a bunch. Did he really suggest that a smuggler needs to have JTL to be a real smuggler?

Yes, from the impressions I'm getting, Smuggler is the un-announced 5th profession that is being added to JtL. The Devs just haven't come out and said as much yet...

Whether or not we would buy it anyway is beside the point. This profession was built into the BASE game...not advertised as part of some far away expansion.


The devs seem hell-bent on the notion that Smuggling cannot exist without space....however, there have been proposals on top of proposals that prove this wrong.


Yes, Space should enhance our abilities. But the basic spirit of the profession should work with or WITHOUT Space.
