That's pretty standard. It's in the FAQ.

The ceiling is 45% for encumbrance and 35% for effectiveness and for weapons speed/damage.

NOTE: 45% Encumb slices have never been debated on this forum and have always been accepted by the community.


It's the 45% Weapon slices we've always called BS on...

Taken right from the FAQ

Slicing 1:

Weapon: N/A

Armor: N/A


Slicing 2:

Weapon: 10-25% Speed or Damage

Armor: N/A


Slicing 3:

Weapon: 10-25% Speed or Damage

Armor: 5-20% Effectiveness

Armor: 5-30% Encumbrance


Slicing 4

Weapon: 10-30% Speed or Damage

Armor: 5-30% Effectiveness

Armor:15-40% Encumbrance


Master Smuggler:

Weapon: 15-35% Damage or Speed

Armor: 11-35% Effectiveness

Armor: 20-45% Encumbrance

I gotseveral of these last night.. (over 40% ) with at least 1 45%I tend to get exceptional slices more frequently than most.. I believe this is because I expreiment on my tools.


I announce my slices in spatial. It seems to get people excited.






The professions of this game are like 32 spice fiends in the same room with a few fences. Everyone is screaming for their their fix. If you try to give everyone a little bump at the same time, nobody will be satisfied and the screaming will never end. If you single out each one really hook them up , you will slowly end the screaming. I know my turn is coming, but it still does not ease the pain of realizing I am nobody's favorite ho. Yes, thank you with the FAQ lecture. Does anyone bother to read the replies or does everyone troll in order to post the same nonesense? It has been brought up on the forums before and I had replied to one reguarding such not more then a week ago. Oh well.
