Thread: Can anyone lend me hand making some crates?

Ok ok.. I know use a Gen.Wep.Droid public crafting station. But, I've tried that. In fact I've stood IN the danged thing.The "create prototype" option doesnt come up, so all I get is the single item... what gives?

(Oh, and yes, I read the FAQ, so if this is a bug and its in there, I missed it, so my apologies)

Try the artisan FAQ too. Sometimes stations overlap, or a crafting droid (droid with a crafting station module) will override the usable radius of your own station.
Also, try a private station rather than a public one.
If you're making spices, even though you can make singles on the wep/droid/gen tool, you need to use the food/chem tool to make a schematic (I believe).

yes if you are making crates of spices you need to use the food and chem crafting tool next to the food and chem crafting station to be able to make the schem for your factory.
If you are making clamps or knives then use the weapon droid tool next to the weapon droid station and you can make these schematics to place in your factory.

I think maybe he needs to make a schematic and put it in a factory! If you want crates of items. you dont craft them by yourself you need a factory. Just slap me if I miss read your statement. but in order to get items in crates a factory must make them.

Most likely he is trying to use just a simple general crafting tool to make his schematic, as two previousposters have suggested.
Spices......Use a food tool
Clamps, Knives, Fans...use a Weapon, droid tool.

Thanks folks. Its the food tool I needed. I havent tried it yet, but based on what I've tried, that seems to be what I have not (based on your responses).
Just another frustrating querk of the game... but everyone here knows all about that

Actually, I've always made my factory schematics for Muon and Pixie using a Weapon Tool next to a Weapon Station. Always worked for me. I think that's going to change soon though, looking at the next publish's test notes...
Crafting: Weapon/Droid Crafting tools have been changed to not work with every single draft schematic in the game. Generic items that are not handled by any other specific crafting tool can still be crafted and experimented on with a Weapon/Droid Crafting tool.
