so...this skill says it lets you change your faction for a price

1. how does this work?

2. im assuming you buy the faction points, where do you buy them?

3. can you buy faction with the imperials / rebels?

Hey, I'm right now working on burning off -5000 IMperial faction points to join the Empire. I was wondering if at Underworld 4 I can buy faction points from the recruiter so I don't have to do 2000 stupid missions for 18 faction points. I could be wrong and I'm new to smuggler, so I was just wondering. Help me out please.

You could indeed, but it's 10,000 credits for 124 faction points.

You won't be able to buy Imperial faction points from the Imperial recruiter, until you are a member of the Imperial faction. And you won't be able to become a member of the Imperial faction, until you get to +200 Imperial faction points.

Your only solution, aside from grinding faction points (which would be faster if you went to a Rebel POI or an undefended Rebel player base), would be to hook up with an Imperial colonel smuggler on your server with Underworld 4. The Imperial smuggler would be able to buy faction points, and delegate them to you. Average price is 120 credits/point for Imperial faction, but the price varies by server.

Sometimes non-smuggler Imperial colonels sell faction too, but it's more rare. Try asking around on your server trade boards to see if anyone is willing to sell you Imperial faction.

At underworld 4, You can buy faction even if you are not Imperial. You can't be Rebel though, so if you are, make sure you resign and wait for an hour to become neutral. You can then buy Imperial faction though as stated it is expensive. Sell your Rebel faction to the Imperial recruiter before you buy your Imperial faction points. I have done this before so I know. Hope this helps. You can also contact an Imperial Col./Master Smuggler on your server also to get the faction if that seems easier for you. Hope this helps.

you can buy 5000 FP by yourself - recruiter wont sell you any FP if you have more than 500 on you.
So, either find another smuggler or
pick up slicing I, go to eitehr Lok or Dantooine Imp Outpost, and run some sliced Imp Missions (slightly higher FP payout on sliced missions)
