Cheers in advance
A little advice if your doing this to make money, I'd really check around first. I know the prices on most server are way too low. If your doing it to get that warm fuzzy feeling (like a meth lab owner) then by all means go right ahead...
Booster BLue still requires those resources, and the great thing is they do not have to be named (eg. Allaatte polysteel) and they can be *any* quality, so any old crap will still make the same spice as a server best spawn....
I have made good money out of spices and i would give the following advice;
- Try and get your fingers into some BUSY malls. Most people will not go out of their way to find spice, because it is cheap and the stats are the same wherever you buy it. So your best chance is simply having a vendor where there are a lot of people.
- The more vendors you can get, the better! Spice is easy to make in bulk and is also easy to get hold of the resources you need, so there is no reason why you can't keep 3 or 4 vendors well stocked. I have 6 spice vendors, 4 of which are in very busy malls.
- By the same token, because it is cheap and people won't bother shopping around for it, charge a bit more! Some people on my server charge 3k a crate, which is daft imo because you are hardly making any money at all. I don't get out of bed for less than 6k!!
- To balance that out and make sure you are giving your customer a worthwhile service, ALWAYS make sure your vendors have stock on them. If you are going to charge twice the market rate, at least make sure your customers can always get what they want. If they know they can go to your vendor and get spice every time, chances are they will go there. An extra few k is easily worth more than having to trek around 4-5 vendors before finding what ou want
- FYI i charge 10k per crate. Still cheap enough for customers to be happy to pay it, but also expensive enough to make all of the resource gathering / factory running / vendor stocking worth your time. And even though this is the most expensive I have seen on my server, I sell more than anyone else i know, mainly because of points 2 and 4 above.
Pretty basic stuff but it might help ya

This may be a silly question, but do you need BioEngineered components for making spice?
Resource Quality doesnt affect the stats of spice, they are always the same.
BE components are used to enhance stats on food.
Can you answer the question yourself?
There is one spice though that needs carbosyrup (Artisan x1xx) as component.

He's thinking of the spice tea stuff. Yes you need some BE stuff for that.
Always use the crappiest resources you can find. You can easliy find crap metal at 1cpu. Crap copper will run higher than that. The chemical portion of booster blue can be easliy harvested with a few harvestors. Use a static spawn spot for the chemicals though. No need to run around.
