So after thinking long and hard about the Sandbox and all that it will hopefully accomplish I got to wondering about a certain element of testing...races. It was brought up in the other Sandbox forum how a character will be created in the sandbox, and I am curious if all the races will be properly represented.

As a minority bearing Bothan, I hope that they are considering the affects racial characteristicss will play in the combat revamp and they ensure that the races are well represented. Being of the least played species means that my race may not get play test time. We know that some races have strong bearing on combat (wookies, dosh, etc.), so I hope they do it right.

Being as there are no racial correspondents, do we know if they are going after these statistics in another way?

I didn't want to bring this up in the other thread because it has been so well focused.

Good question, I would think you could create any toon you wanted just like any other TC.

I'm thinking the sand-box will be very much like TC2 with it's blue frogs.

Allowing us to test many combination/abilities quickly and efficiently.

That would make sense,I just hope they take the racial issues into consideration compared to the profs certain ones should be better in so that they coincide with the raw numbers changing.

I suppose if it's like other early betas they will tell you what they want you to create for a specific testing period. We shall see.

I know we will be taking racial stats into consideration. In fact I have a spreadsheet with all the races stats all ready to go when I head off to the Summit

We will definatly be trying to balance the races.

That is very reassuring...how much have you thought/read about the proposed changes to the Bothan stats? There's been some nice discussions about it over in theCore Systemsforum.
