Well I have finally finished grinding Smuggler, and I am just short of AP to get Master. (Damn getting AP sux!) Anyways.....I've already gotten a few offersfor faction. Now I read the faction selling guide and the posts on pricing, but what I don't understand is this: How exactly are you guys gaining so much faction? I mean yeah I've done the missions and completed the themepark, but I'm still only a Sgt. Is there some like massive cave of STs that I'm missing here?

No, we gain faction just like anyone else. I made it all the way to Captain the hard way... grinding it out. Taking missions, taking missions, taking missions, and taking missions. The Emporer's Retreat theme park is good for 2200xp or so, so do that as soon as you can. I sold my AV-21 for a few million, so I then bought my way up to Colonel.

Well bud, you have to buy it... the thing that sux is that you are capped at 500...
this is a good post from earlier.. it should help you out when you do decide to sell some faction:

I put the three macros in the toolbar, and I hit the 2K one once I get the name in faction correct. I run 2K at a time, and use 500 or 100 to finish it off (like if a customer wanted 2500, or lag caught me and one run didn't go through)
The tell at the bottom of the 2K one is helpful since it lets me know with an audio cue when it's done since I often will alt-tab or do like some calculus homework while running it.

Oh, also the Imperial Weapons dev POI is good for some faction, and the Imp encampment or Rori..
But the best way is to just join a solo group.. slice the faction termonals, and go at it
That way you're getting credits and depending on your skill and the size of the solo group you can get around 150 fp per mission... it's a long grind to colonel either way. Cheers
