Granted, I do not know how jedi "know" when they become a BH's mark. Do they get a system message or what?

At any rate, depending on the statistical success of the smuggler's slice, the jedi, or whomever is the BH target, should be able to hear a rumor that a smuggler was involved in aiding the BH. Since I heard about potential bounties being placed on smugglers, then why not have a new smuggler slice the system looking forevidenceof the initial smuggler's action?Limit the slice and reversesliceto one time each to prevent unlimited reverse slices .. there'd be no more smugglers. And perhaps only allow the jedi to hire a smuggler for a reverse slice if they survive the bounty and the mission fails. You'd have to trust the BH and that BH better kill the jedi .... say hello to high fees on that one! Our lives are on the line, too.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me.

hehe...in my guild, usually a BH will pop into guild chat and say "Hey, guess who I just pulled a mission for?" Then some poor sap pipes up and says "Are you serious? I'm on the terms again?"

Geelo, a rodian smuggler and generally really bad guy, is hanging out in a cantina in Dearic. It is out of the way and he has been doing some bad things for some very bad people, lately, and he doesn't want to attract attention to himself. Though watching this third-rate overweight moncal dancer is beginning to wear on his nerves, and he fingers his blaster, considering what a lovely burn mark she would make on the bar.

Another wanderer comes in, a bounty hunter. He sees Geelo, grins, and asks for his help to find a mark. There's some guy running around Talus with a lightsaber, trying to cut the fingers off of the local anarchist faction without destroying their rings. Imperials are paying a nice ammount for the heads of these guys.

Geelo agrees, and with a few slices and a conversation with a contact of his, he hands the bounty hunter the information. The bounty hunter runs off, and takes care of his mark.

The bounty hunter returns, thanks Geelo, and tells him he is back for another piece of business. Geelo laughs and says, "Sure, buddy, who do you need to find, this time?"

The bounty hunter laughs himself and says, "I don't need to find anyone. I'm here to kill you."

A few blaster shots go off. As the bounty hunter throws a few cred chips at the bartender for an ale and a clean up crew, the chubby moncal does a couple flourishes and says, "Thank you! He was a lousy tipper."

That would add serious role play value, and would deffinately be fun.

Therefore, it will never happen.

Generally a good idea. It just sort of removes the potential for smuggler bounties.

No it doesn't, there can still be Smuggler Bounties, you just won't find many Smugglers who'd wanna help out on those unless its someone they dislike.

At the moment I roleplay more of a Slicer than a Smuggler anyway, until there's something to smuggle at least. I'd love to see more slicing in the game, but where would we be slicing in at? I may have skipped over it, are we talking the Bounty Hunter terminals or a new kind or Holonet terminals or something else? Just asking, because if I recall correctly, Green Marine said that slicing into Bounty Hunter terminals was highly illegal, you can't use clamps due to their security systems and a failure would get you on them instantly.

My mistake, I misread what the poster said about where we slice to get the bio-signatures.
