Smuggler Archive

I've taken a month completely away from SWG and started enjoying other games. (Yes Virginia there is such a thing as Content!) I still love the idea of smuggling, and living in the "Star Wars" Universe, however previous to my little vacation there was little that could really be called "Star Wars" and nothing at all that could be called smuggling. Content was to be honest a pathetic grindfest, and occasional formulaic quests that were either deliveryboy missions with little compelling gameplay or go here kill this missions, once again, with no compelling gameplay. The classes that I do/did play such as Smuggler and Commando were almost completely non-functional. The Character that I am taking to the endgame (aka jedi) was such a horribly mind-numbing grind fest that it made the game pretty much intolerable. Killing 100,000 innocent animals never made me feel like a smuggler, commando, or jedi. In fact it didn't even make me feel like Buffalo Bill. It made me feel like a tool.

So my question is, is there a reason to return? Is there anything in this game that would entice me to come back? Or do we have the standard "S.O.S.D.D."?

If not then I guess I will extend my vacation even further.

seems smugglers will be hunted by bh and rangers now:/ hope im wrong though and dont quite understand this. what does a ranger have anything to do with hunting smugglers?

My advice would be wait 6 months. If you wern't enjoying it a month ago nothing much has canged. There are good things on the horizon but they will take time. Give it six months and check back. The new expansion will be out, most of it's bugs should be fixed, lol wellwe can dream can't we,and it should be worth playing.

We should have both smuggling missions and be hunted by BH's by then. If we don't, giveSWG up as a bad job, walk away and go play in the sunshine.

Well there is a difference.

Most of the Purple veteran types have either quit or been banned from the forums. Or both.

Some of us are still around though, some still purple, some... in disguise as n00bs.
