Which doesn't answer your question but a good plug. Best bet for Simples is Novice BH missions, should get one/mission. On the Finely Crafteds, your best bet is mid-Investigation missions (like 2xxx BH). You'd get one about every other mission. Apart from just low-level junk mobs and AUKs/WUKs, BH missions are where it's at.

Do the toolkits come from the boss marks, or normal ones?

Pck up novice BH and you will pull all the slicing gear you want. But that doesn't mean the game is focused on BH-Jedi, right?

I actually got an fctk as loot from a Trade Federation Zealot on Naboo. It was CL50, from a CL50 normal terminal mission.

I've looted both on random NPC's... but more of them on Naboo than any other planet for some odd reason.

I have found a few on Faction NPCs but the drop rate is almost as random as pearls. May have a good run with em or have a dry run never know.

for a simple tool kit you only need to salvage one of your weapon upgrade kits.

As for a looting them I havent found a good place yet.

Yeah, Kaadara, Eisley, or Dearic. Sounds like it would work pretty well I'd think, might want to try it.
