My alt Asyr has been master smuggler since 2003. I cancelled that account when the CU hit and then made my MBH, MBH/master smuggler. What I hate is people who judge people they dont know. I cancelled it because Asyr was a triple master and with the CU couldnt have it.

Been MBH since launch but when the CU hit I went MBH/master smuggler, in this time Ive tested out all aspects of smuggler. I just dont see any point in playing a smuggler that dont smuggle, so Im going back to master ranger. Take care guys.

I was a Smuggler for like, three months when I bought the game in Sept 03. Then, for one reason or another, I had to get another account. After that, I just didnt see a point in grinding out Smuggler, because really.... back then..... Smuggler sucked...... I mean in a bad way. It didnt even give you Combat Mods. Not that thats necesarily a bad thing, but it didnt offer anything except for Spice which sucked, and Slicing which is the only real thing that made it worth while. But, unless you were Master Smuggler, that was pretty pointless too.
Anyways, all that aside, on my new account I tried RM and finally found what I had invisioned all along. I still to this day hate how SWG stereotypes the Professions of Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, and now Squad Leader and Ranger. Its like theyre saying, all Smugglers use Pistols, etc. When I picked up RM, I decided Raice Geriko would be an X-Soldier turned Smuggler. He would be an infantry man, who decided to stop taking orders.
When the CU went live, I immediately respeced back to Smuggler. It was still piss poor, but it I guess I felt it was as good as it was gonna get. I played the usual build, Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer.... and I had some left over for RM 4400. This always bothered me though, because it was like I was selling out because I wasnt playing what I originally invisioned Raice as. He wasnt a Pistol packing Han Solo template. He was Raice Geriko....... he was more like Tom Selleck in "Quigley Down Under" - "I said I never had much use for a Pistol. I never said I didnt know how to use one."
Right now, Im grinding out Master RM to go along with Master Smuggler, and honestly, I think I have found the perfect compliment to RM. I am having so much fun with this Template... and Im no even done making it yet!!!
Anyways... not that it pertains to anything in the thread, but I thought it was a fun side story.

All I know is, ever since I got that novice box, I haven't taken it back... I have to admit, I wasn't Master pre-cu, because most of my skill points were taken up by master pistoleer and (*gulp*) architect...
Hey! I'm not proud of myself! But after that, I respec'd to master smuggler... In my defense, I -DID- have underworld 2, slicing 4, dirty fighting 1 and spices 4... I'm not a total respec smuggler, and I didn't just respec because of combat... It was because I realized how lame crafting houses was (and that my dream to become a politition and make all the houses for the city would never happen)...

Heh, I had a master dancer ask me for training last night while I was browsing the bazaar in Mos Eisley. I did the training an offered a little advice... part of which was to go TKM instead of smuggler. Maybe it's just me, but beating the crap out of something with sparklers in your hands just sounds fun. Problem is that I wouldn't be able to handle the boredom of dancer.
Oh and berating somebody because of their respec choice is childish... the BH do the EXACT same thing to all the smugglers that respec'ed their second profession to BH in order to get the components. Grow up people.

Hehe, nah, Agrit is the master smuggler and still is, for some reason I couldnt drop it. Aalob is MBH/combat prowess 4044/reflexes 4000/senses 4200/dancer 4040, lol. 2 more boxes til jedi then going back to MBH/MCM for the trials.

Never dropped the Novice box since I've had it since, well, about September-October 2003. Mastering, well, I did a lot of other things, like doctor,weaponsmith, and pistoleer. Finally mastered Smuggler I think August 2004 (at the latest). Dropped to Dirty Fighting/ BH pistols/ Master pistoleer template for two weeks, but ran back to the triple threat up until the CU.
