Thread: Thinking about MBH/MSmuggler...can I get some Pros/Cons from experienced Smugglers?

To start off I've been playing for awhile now and really enjoy the game. I alsoknow that the Smuggler profession is lacking and not what most people think of when they see the movies. That being said, I have been grinding up different professions to try them all out and experience different parts of the game. Now I have come to Smuggler. I read about slicing weapons and armor which sounds great. I read about selling faction which is also cool.


My question is, if I decide to go MBH/MSmuggler what are the pros/cons to the template? Right now I am MBH/MPistoleer. I am not looking for the most powerful template. Just something I could have fun with.


Is there profit in slicing armor?

Is there profit in selling faction?

What about spices?


Any input is appreciated.

Pros:



  1. Make a little extra money from slicing and spices.

  2. Make people really mad by doing /underhand followed by concussion shot.

  3. Make lots and lots of money selling BH loot.

Cons:



  1. Very little healing if you go with that route, or none at all.

  2. Jedi will most likey pwn you unless you sneak in the kill when they aren't paying attention.

  3. Not very good in 1 vs 1 PvP unless you use concussion shot to get a rest.

Yes, you can have some fun as BH / smuggler... but don't expect to go out hunting Jedi all the time with that template. You won't make a lot of money off the smuggler stuff at all, to be honest. AFK faction grinders take away almost all faction sales, and there's not a lot of money in spices either.

Exactly what he said. It is nice, however, to be pretty self sufficient. You have steady, although not great, income. You have the ability not only to slice, but to acquire the components. I certainly would not call it "uber" (pardon my language) but it is alot of fun!
