Lately I have run into more and more people who have serious trading issues. These are not newbs, and we perfrom a /dump to make sure there are no macros going. The issue is that we will have the trade window open and it closes ever few seconds. Many times we end up having to trade 1 item at a time. This can turn a 5 minute slice into a 20 minute + slice because of all the trading issues. I notice that I can trade with someone else just fine.

This seems to be some sort of but that recently happened. I know last night it took me about 40 minutes to slice a set of armor and a few guns with one person because the trade window kept closing. It was so bad, we had to make several attemps just to trade one item at a time.

The professions of this game are like 32 spice fiends in the same room with a few fences. Everyone is screaming for their their fix. If you try to give everyone a little bump at the same time, nobody will be satisfied and the screaming will never end. If you single out each one really hook them up , you will slowly end the screaming. I know my turn is coming, but it still does not ease the pain of realizing I am nobody's favorite ho. The trade window IS very sensitive. But I have never seen it close on it's own unless you or your trading partner does something else. Here are some rules that may help:

1. Do NOT open up any other windows while the trade window is up.

2. Do NOT move items between windows (except to/from the trade window) while the trade window is up.

(Do not move items from your backpack to your main inventory for example)

3. The trade window will close if your customer tries to drag an item he has equipped into it (such as armor).

Your customer should un-equip everything he is going to trade you before he opens trade.

4. Do NOT be chatting much while trade window is opened. I have had the trade window close on me

when I hit Enter to send a spatial message or a tell.

Basically... Don't do ANYTHING while it is up, and if your customer does the same thing, it shouldn't close on you.

I have NOT seen the problem you describe if I follow these rules.

HOWEVER: I have seen the following problem several times in the past few weeks: You lose the ability to trade with someone. You try to trade and the window cancels a couple of times for some reason, and suddenly you can't see their requests for trades and vice-versa. One time we had to both REBOOT (not just relog) in order to trade with each other again. (No TEFs involved)

I actually have experienced this a few times lately. When I ask what's going on they say they have no idea why the window keeps closing. I was thinking it was a trade bug too. Random thought, kind of slicing

As far as not seeing the trade requests, I've had this happen a couple of times and here is why I think happens. If someone send you a trade request, and you send it to someone else (like your 2nd in line customer send trade request, and you send to your first in line customer) you and your first customer can not trade. You must acknowledge and cancel the trade of who sent you a request first. Logging out does NOT fix this if you log right back in. Jumping to another planet DOES fix it, which someone else taught me. But I have solved it by identifying who sent me the trade request first, and opening trade box with that person, then closing it. Then I'm able to trade properly with the other person.

Hope this helps someone...
