Thread: Red or Blue wire? Random or not...

I dont know if this has ever been noticed or discussed as I am fairly new to the profession. As I was setting Coronet slicing locked containers trying to grind up to Slicing 2 I would slice the Mission Terms there beside the starport when I had noone wanting me to slice their containers. I did this for quite a few hours Saturday evening and I noticed something. When I first log on and try to slice a mission terminal it is always the red wire first (without using a clamp). After the 2 min wait it will be the blue wire...then again after the 2 min wait it was the red wire first. I did this atleast a couple dozen times and not once did I need to use a clamp. I tried to watch as much as I could while doing containers and it seemed to follow suit.

Tonight I will be grinding away on some survival knives and will check it on those.

I just found it very interesting that I could accurately slice the terminals everytime without using a clamp or node. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

You hit a lucky streak...go buy you a PowerBall ticket or something...quick!

Seriously though...it really is random. But you can sometimes get in a streak that looks like some sort of pattern. Just don't fall into the trap of thinking you have some kind of system that'll work all the time...it won't.

Actually i think you were getting really lucky or just that it is something with the terminals. I sliced locked containers with clamps and most of the time was getting red a random number of times in a row and same with the blue. Dont use your method with weapons or locked containers because you will not get any xp or anything inside the containers if you were trying to get anything out of them.
