Thread: Anyone having issue with Stack Components?

Please post here if you have this issue with stacked components.
Moving stacked components from your general inventory into a container, like a bagpack or pack, and loosing your entire stack while it doesn't 100% combine with other stacks it just gets removed. It could be me or a bug.
Also You can't seperateyour stacks or combine some stacks of the same tool sets.
I've salvaged components in my general inventory and found that sometimes when i move that stack into another container it just vanishes. It didn't get combine with another and i watch the item counter of the container update by 1 then go back down by 1 but while looking at the contens in another window it apeared in the container and vanished. This happened, if i had moved a new stack into the container and while a stack of tools were present but it didn't get combine 
let me know

Nor 100% do like stacks combine so i have multiple stacks of the same components 1 stack of 145, 1 stack of 5, 1 stack of 6 simple tool kits besides the ones that don't stack simply because they were already out of the creat

has anyoen tried ot slice somethign with stack slice stuff? does it work ?

I'm not able to stack anything. I tried moving components between containers and nothing happened. Oh well, I guess they've screwed up yet again.

Stacking is spotty at best.
I've been gone for a while and came back Monday, and had about 5 crates of a/wuk, tried a few right after the first patch, no stack.
Tried late last night, ones I tried right after patch still didn't stack right, but new ones mostly did.
Simple toolkits stopped stacking at 4, so I figured that was the max, then after a few more salvages, it started stacking more than four.
Ended up being able to get a stack of 37 simple tools, 7 motivators, fine tools wouldn't stack over 4, got 1 new and one 'old' (earlier yesterday) microplating to stack, but have 3 more that won't, only got 1 icb, padding would stack if I tried to put one into the pack, so I got about 5 of those to stack.
Wow.
Just, wow, is all I can say.
I've been gone for 4 months, and it's actually worse now than before I left.
Unbelievable.
I would have much rather seen experimentation on smug tools than this drop only crap.
On the good side, I respeced to MBH/MSMUG from MPIST/MSMUG before I even knew that the BH missions were dropping the tools.
I just always wanted to try BH.

It's not vanishing... it's combining with another stack in your top-level inventory. I've watched it happen, it never goes into the container but it increments the other stack.

Yeah... that's what I noticed too. I keep them in a bag anyway though, just to organize my inventory a little better.

You know the components sometimes goto the top level but sometimes they also just fanish The DEV know abou this issue but no ETA on the fix and CS just sends the form letter "Oh it's a known issue, other people are having it, Devs know, no eta, Have a nice day" and closes the ticket

Write down the numbers and keep track, AFAIK, they are just stacking on top of another stack in your inventory, like somebody else has already mentioned. They won't go in the bag if you have another stack in your inventory, they jump on top of the other stack instead. If you are absolutely sure they are just vanishing, take some screenshots of you entire inventory and post them for us.

Today I picked up a fresh crate of 25AUK and pulled a few. Upon salvaging I got 2 STK that didnt stack, then the next three did. I pulled a few more and got 2 SAP which didnt stack, then I pulled the rest of the crate and got 3 SAP that stacked, a stack of 5 STK and 3 STK didnt and wouldnt stack. It seems to be random and sensless the way items stack or dont. SO to paraphrase when I puleld and salvaged a crate of 25WUK I got
5 stack STK
4 stack STK
3 stack SAP
1 MRP
1 Dframe
8single STK
2 single SAP
1 single Motivator
WTH??!!??

Now, with those stacks of STKs in your top-level inventory, drag one stack into a pouch. Watch another of the STK stacks increment. Repeat and soon they will all be one big stack.

You're right that it's strange and seems senseless the way they stack. Seems to have something strange to do with what row they are on... but hey, at least they stack now.

so will this trick work with pre patch smuggling stuff too?
