If you really feel that you need to change, then by all means - rather have you stick with the game and be happy then stick with smuggler and be miserable. You can always remaster later when good news is announced and we have something to look forward to.

But whatever you do, don't let it get you down. Its a game. Its not worth getting all bent out of shape. If you keep going like this, eventually you turn in Yimaz and have 4 million posts, check in from home on a day off, post from your cell phone, etc...man, you're still saveable, don't go that route...

*Yim, I am only kidding, bro*

Right on!.....the yimaz part I mean.....oh wait, no....the whole thing, but especially the yimaz part!

PS- Yimaz, isn't it nice to be loved?

If you feel down about a set of low slices, guilty that you've not done your best for the customer - don't! you've improved the weapon/set of armour and the best you can do is use a mol clamp and make sure the slice works. Anything else is out of your control and so you shouldn't feel bad about it, as chances are any other Smuggler would have gotten the same low %s.

So chin up, you're doing good for people, even if they don't know it

I wish we could do so much more in regards to actually Smuggling, but I'm hoping that's just over the horizon (rather than the next star system, which it has seemed several times in the past). But whatever, there's time between now and then to explore other areas of the game should you feel the urge; just be sure to find yourself back to Smuggler, because remember, it's not a choice, it's a calling

Bah. Many things have led up to this, but I am offically disheartened/pissed/ready to drop Smuggler. Sliced 14 Nym enhanced VK's for my RL friend who is a Master AS/WS... 7 Dmg slices, 5 of which were 20% or under - only TWO ended up being 200+ dmg.

The motors themselves could have been sold for probably 100k/ea - I almost feel guilty for even slicing them. Sure it's all good when you make one of your customers happy/ecstatic with the UBER SLICE OF WTFPWNAGE they were looking for as I had happen at least 3 times last night (Tenloss rifle up to 509 max dmg, two 43% enc armor slices for the same guy) but I digress...

Smuggler was my first Master in this game. I was well informed of it's many MANY (did I mention many?) short-comings and the fact that Smugglers have been overlooked for so long but I think all of it finally set in. I guess I'm mainly pissed/tired of being an ill-equipped slice monkey.

Maybe my switch over to BH/Pistoleer will come quicker than I thought, maybe a stop-off as a CM/Doc dabbler for a bit first.

/end rant

/self-pity

LMAO

Anyway, back to the topic at hand - I just don't get bent out of shape with bad slices anymore. We can't escape the fact that slicing is entirely random - if you didn't get those slices for your friend well, another Smuggler would've.

What I try to keep in mind is that the even the very very very very WORSE slice you can do to a weapon is still an Improvement to the weapon. I sliced my latest 500 Max T21 the other day with a 15% Dmg slice - not the best - but damn, still improves it.

You can't do anything to improve the luck in this game with slicing so don't even worry.

Good Luck!
