Thread: Looking for a little bit of advice...

First of all id like to introduce myself as I guess im the newest kid on the smuggler block 
one huge factor that helped me to decide to become a smuggler is the amazing community in this forum, im constantly impressed by the amount of support and actually interesting threads that get posted in here.
I do have one question that I hope some of you could help me with though. I have been really intruiged by the carbineer profession lately and wondered how well this would work with smuggler? RP wise I think its exactly what im looking for (not that theres any RP on bloodfin but still
), but im not sure where to put the remaining skillpoints - I thought maybe in the investigation line of bounty hunter, but with smuggler bountys coming out at some point I think id much rather be a full smuggler template. Thanks in advance.

...unless you're a smuggler, then, by all means, own it up.

And remember: Lubrication prevents friction burns.
Not sure how that will help you, but you can apply that principle to many things.

Master Smuggler/ Master Carbineer here and loving it.
I tried pistols with smuggler....wasnt for me, liked BH with smuggler just for some of the moves. Then decided I was sick of the close range and retried my first profession ever..carbines. They are much more useful now then way back when..get one with good damage and low sac cost. Add in some pixie and blob candy with accaragam for action and wow! Plus being the "girly" girl I am I wanted my nice colored padded and the ability to wear RIS, and clone armor..carbineers get battle armor. 
I put my points in scout...i had dropped exploration but I so hate running slow up hills. Plus I have a AS I like to supply with hides when they are good so I used the rest of my points in Hunting. Though I had toyed with doing 3 boxes in commando for area root ability..might be fun too.

w00t. Hi and welcome,
You'll find carbineer is a pretty good mix with smuggler. Bounty hunter works good also, but it comes down to a mattter of weapon and special attack preferences.
I personally use rifleman because of the specials, but if rifle got beat to death with the nerf stick I would go carbineer in an instant.
