maybe i just hide a torch behind a terminal to let it look like "broken"

anybody has some item ideas what i should look for zthat would fit as decoration into such a house?

Best new item in my opionin is the discarded jacket. You get thtme by going to the myydrial caverns and killing those litte spiders at the begining they will drop a lotta junk including adventurer's remains some of those remains look like a jacket someone took ohh and threw on the floor. Give my YT that dirty lived in look.

things i have in my home: a hidden vault for those nice items i don't want to display in public(things that aren't quite smugglery, but i still keep). it's a backpack hidden in a wall(it's actually inside the wall) and there's a painting above it. to open it, i must simply run my macro that says: open sesame!

and then there's the decoration no smuggler should be without: a hidden area in your house. the back-side of Bookcases(the square ones) are perfect to be renamed to Wall and made into a wall. just place your smuggler-related items behind them. pile up spice, clamps, kits, knives, spice-crafting tools etc.

and then there's the lovenest. always work on that bedroom to make it perfect, since that's what the ladies will see

I have a rather cool gambling den.

Door is hidden behind a painting. Inside is gambling table with circular couches, some party posters as decor.

On the floor are a couple of cases of brandy and spices, plus my bubble tank and shisa.

Now if only I could get something to make the room all smoky and gloomy, too...

My favorite is the "Smuggler's Workshop". Just a little area set aside with a couple of tables and a chair. Scattered slicing tools on the tables (finally a reason to craft a FAN) with assorted weapons and armor pieces, a couple of units of spice here and there.

On my YT, I have split up crates of various sci-fi sounding tools, components, and then some spice crates, stacked up in some big stacks, some neat and arranged, so just haphazard piles, and some paintings and posters all against each other against the wall, as just some more shady cargo. I use cafe chairs, the simple wooden ones, and also squared metal chairs, and seating, and crates of things as tables. the other room is an exact copy of the lounge on the millenium falcon. I also keep a launcher pistol stowed under the dashboard in the cockpit, you know, just in case.

Key Smuggler furniture:

1. Toolchests, large and small.

2. ANY small pieces of hardware that are or look like tools. Custom naming can get you things like hydrospanners.

3. following a similar vein, craftable items that can be named as security devices.

4. Weapons. Small knives, knucklers, and Angry-looking guns, in unobtrusive, but visible locations. (I keep them behind my bar, in my office just to the side of the door, on my ship, under my desk etc. Anywhere, that in an unexpected firefight, you would be able to grab it and go.

5. OBVIOUSLY crates of smuggler supplies.

6. Shisa, but that's more a preference thing.

7. artwork that defines your theme. If you're going for the rundown abandoned look for instance, I'd say advertisements, and other poster style things, like the Freedom poster. the Clone Wars paintings would probably work well.

8. Droids, droid tools, droid accessories, droid components. They are incredibly starwars, and fit right into the DIY smuggler persona.

9. I forget they exact name, but the furniture with the orange vinyl padding. It's in one of the Tat starports I think. Works great in generic and Corellian houses. nabooian and Tat houses, use wooden furniture, and tech furniture. Metal chairs and squared metal chairs work all around.

I did something like this when I first took over a guildhall. I decided to roleplay it into the base of op's for my smugger enterprise. I decided to make the upstairs "Pro imp" so as to keep them off my back.

The entry way facing the front door has an imp banner and 2 of the tat sun banners hanging in it. Going into the main room you are faced with a reception desk with the YT1300 hologram on it, with a 3P0 droid standing behind it (i had a DE make me a ton of chassis). Behind the droid is a huge square brazier that forms the centerpiece for the room, around the edges are some paintings, the aurillian baner flutters close to the back wall, with marauder and tusken armour on each side. A full set of clone armour forms up the right hand side with the clone trooper paintings, whilst the other side is dominated by the picture of general grevious.

The little bit at the back forms my art collection which has 1 of every painting in the game (except the vet reward ones from a while back). turning back to face the lift there is a tie fighter outfit on one side and an AT-AT suit and helm on the other. To the left leads to FaiCri's office (with waiting room) and to the right is a relaxation area. Upstairs to the right is an area set up for slicing, complete with a work area for repairing equipment. Going accross the open bay at the top (for landing ships on) you come across a storage area for ship parts, complete with a Binary Load Lifter. Through the elevator I have the bedroom, a meeting room (complete with a wanted poster of han "the man" solo) The main room at the back forms the Op center of my business complete with tons of computer terminals, and 3 or 4 more droids, all running the computer systems. There is also a storage room for storing different "sub legal" items and a crafting room.

It just really depends what you want to do with your house to to what you use. I found that just by utilising some common parts and spending a bit of time (ok, this all took me around 2 1/2 days of doing nothing but placing items) you can get something very cool out of it.

Heh... In my opinion it depends very much on what kind off smuggler you are trying to make. If it is the low-life mos eisley bum, who put his dirty hands on an ugly and claims to be a smuggler, or one of the high-class criminals like Talon Karrde, with sofisticated taste and way too much money.
I try to keep Ailoovi as one of the high-class guys, and thus his houses are decorated with paintings and classy furniture (dominant colours are purple and red). My Yacht is turned into a party place, with large couches and cafe tables, even a buffet with various drinks (Mos Entha brandy, Talusian POrt and stuff like that) and a gambling room in the basement. The only working area I have is my YT-1300 (Talusian Dream). It has no funiture at all, but is cluttered with ship parts, factory crates, resource containers and locked and unlocked containers.

Well, i figured that given how people view RP as a somewhat dirty word on Lowca, that i could make up for it with the house etc. I even gave him a backstory to why he now has a cybernetic arm, and his reasons for rejoining the Imperials due to an accident with some rebels. But given the fact that I have 2 chars, i've tended to make it look like a legitimate business, even tho it's clearly far from it......

Go down in the Myyril Caves on Kashyyk, and do a small easy quest for a smuggler in the viillage there.
The reward will be The Black Falcon pistol. It's only a lvl 30 pistol, has some nice mods, but would be awsome as a decoration, as it has a good item description. Says it's made to be an exact replica of the gun used by a famous Corelian Smuggler.

Actually, unless it's been fixed in the past couple of days, the Black Falcon says it's made to be a replica of a well known Corellian smuggler.

There is a series of quests on Talus (Nashal, I think) that start in the cantina. You'll be moving spice for someone. Only the containers don't say "spice." They say stuff like "ambient nature sounds" and when you examine it, it says something like "does not, in any way, contain spice."

There are two of these. Take the mission, put the container in your backpack, then tell him you failed and start over. go to the guy, and he'll have you take something back. Put it in your pack and tell him you failed and start over. then run back to he cantina and finish up. They look like locked containers, too.
