Thread: they're at it again!
and more Jedi claiming they've done extensive testing of this skill.
making false claims like "it doesn't hardly ever incap the user" and such.

Something like the story string game. I say a few words. Then you say a few words to follow it, and over time as a community we build a nice lil cooperative story while ignoring everything they say about our uberness.
Personally I think they just have pistol envy. Renegade is one sweet gun and surly better than any flashlight. I'm about to unlock jedi (6 xp dumps away) and am leaning strongly towards keeping m.smuggler and just dabbling in jedi skills for fun. Force valour, cloak, and jedi healing all while standing there, duster waving in the wind and renegade in hand.
We should all post in the thread saying we agree and that the skills should be nerfed - and at the same time - bring back Perma Death for jedi.
And agree that it would all be real cool, and that Jedi are the heart of the universe, andthat they dont multiply like rabbits, and that they arent whining little buggers, and that they... ah screw em.
You guys crack me up. When FD was being used by Jedi and the nerf cries came from BHs, you blamed the Jedi. Now that LD is being used by BHs and the nerf cries come from the Jedi, you blame the Jedi.

No, you're misinterperting the meaning of a Double Standard. Its synnonomous with Hipocricy. The Double Standard would be for us to to the same thing that the Jedi and the Bounty Hunters are/were doing/have done. To template ourselves on skills from thier professions because there's a chance it can kill an opponent slightly easier or the chance make us unkillable, all the while crying out for nerfs to said skills. Basicly saying "Nerf that skill for them, but not me, I wanna be capable of something nobody else is, without having to work at it." That would be a Double Standard. That would be Hipocracy.
What we are doing is complaining about the people who template themselves on our(and other's) skills, to get that chance for the slightly easier kill or chance to be unkillable without wanting to work for it, while not doing the exact same thing. That is not a Double Standard nor Hipocracy. That is TRUTH.

Here's a pretty quick summation:
Feign: completely abused by Jedi to avoid the xp loss that's been engineered into their profession. just a heads up, but we were pissed at the BHs too, but they weren't the ones not using it as intended, with rampant disregard to PvP etiquette.
Last Ditch: A wholly unreliable special that SOMETIMES does enough damage to do what it needs to, MOSTLY misses, and frequently incaps the user when it does hit, and is being called upon for a nerf by Jedi for no good reason other than they're being one-hit incapped by BHs. Guess what, more BHs than have incapped you have used LD on you, you just didn't notice because it didn't work. It is not being abused because it has a "fail" chance built into it on several levels, as opposed to the pre-cu feign, which had no such chance.
So, abuser of our profession, and now, the people who want to nerf our profession to give them just a bit more of an edge. I don't see any double standard there (except maybe on the part of the Jedi), I see a disrespect for the smuggler profession.

No brother...keep preaching...its ok...we agree with you...don't hold back your feelings.
this is such an annoying habit that is starting to develop through the use of our skills (or mis-use). Everytime we seem to get a break we get dragged back into this mess. I tested it briefly a couple of nights ago on my jedi friend. out of 5 attempts3 missed. 1 hit for 2.5k dmg and incaped me and one hit for just over 3.5k and incaped my friend i was lucky and stayed upright. Now that for me works as intended. It failed more than it worked but when it did work it worked like a dream.
Many smugglers have highlighted the truth to the jedi and Bh's currently at each others throats but alas the majority dont want to listen and only want themselves to enjoy the game. I prey for the day when soe turn around and smile at the jedi and say "oh yeah the only reason we made it so easy to become a jedi is so we could laugh pur assess off when we finish this AI code for Darth Vader. Children Vader is now loose and will hunt you down then perma kill you" would be a nice nerf i feel

The skill works how it should imo and changing it simply because the loudest mouthed community in the game screams bloody murder is bad buisness. Something that inspires me to keep playing are all the awesome ideas within this forum, i havent seen anything so creative elsewhere in other prof forums or a collection of players so proud of there proffession. Its frustrating to have to read these posts calling for a nerf but to be honest i dont see soe listening to the jedi or bh on this one. If they do then its our turn to scream bloody murder
