I did some speed slices for a guy yesterday, and he claims that the speed went up instead of going down by the 4% the slice indicated. To his credit he didn't get on me for it, so I gave it to him for free. Has anyone else seen stuff like this or am I just inexperienced (seeing as how this was my first attempt with the new stuff)

I haven't seen anything like that... all of my damage and speed slices so far have had the expected results... tiny though they may be.

I've used 10 tools on crap loot weapons to test this, and havn't been able to replicate it. I'm thinking he was just mistaken on the starting point for the value. Kinda makes me wish I didn't give him the thing for free after maxing out the pts...

I know the REALLY good weapons before this new slicing system, like, weapons that had been converted well above the caps... slices would actually make the gun not as good, I guess kind of like, past the cap is some kind of bizzaro land.

but now you shouldn't be able to slice above cap, so that shouldn't be an issue...

/shrug he was mistaken or hosing you, or the Devs have screwed up big time.

I have had pretty much the same thing happen with one of the weapons that I sliced. I had sliced it for speed and damage and the 2% slices were correct. When I sliced the speed and damage again the speed went up and the damage went down. I sliced several other weapons the same way and none of them had this happen.
