Most requests I've gotten for slicing since reaching master have been from other smugglers hoping I had an ICB. Now I'm gonna be lonely

Without a group of regular customers you won't get much business, mouth to mouth advertising is the only thing that gets you some decent work nowadays (but I like that fact cause it get's rid of the slicing monkeys at the starports.

I spend a lot of time with customers, calculating what to do with their gear, making a deal that gives me profit and makes them happy. It's good to see that that time investment pays off

If you enjoy running a slicing 'business', and are prepared to set up shop in a busy area...you can make solid cash w/o having to do any missions. To each their own, its actually what I stlll do from time to time (especially if I need a new hi-end armor set). Furthermore, if you have good deals and know what you are doing...you don't have to stand out there long. Customers will add you to their friends' list and bring you repeat business. As a Smuggler that has extensive experience as a 'slice monkey', I get no less than5 tells within 5 mins of logon, just from past customers asking for new slices. But then, my contact list is quite large.

It all depends on what you 'want' to do. If you 'want' to slice, you can...and make a respectable profit out of it. If you do not, then you'll find less and less people ask for slices (as you keep saying 'no'). Since we can't actually smuggler anything, slicing is the closest thing I can get to feeling like a 'scoundrel'. It also feels quite nice when people trust you with their full set of ADK'd armor (7+ ADKs), and even pay you all the credits ahead-of-time. They won't trust just anyone with that kind of loot. Much less, a shady stranger.
