I have been out of the game for about a year and logged in to find a nice little respec offer. I came back mostly for the Space aspect of the game and am enjoying it. Now, it's time for me to do the respec on my main character since I was a triple master and now can not move until I drop a number of skill points. If I keep a combatant, I will definitely keep Smuggler. Although we seem to get nothing but promises on eventually smuggling, I still hold out hope that maybe in a year or two something bug ridden might happen. Anyway, on to my main question.

What would be a good class to combine with MSmuggler for (mostly) PvE theme parks and missions etc and maybe even a little PvP? I was thinking MBH for the whole underworld side of things. Besides, they get their own missions that pay out somewhat decently from what I remember (NPCs only for me). MCommando was loads of fun with all the effects. And, CH seems to be getting a little more viable now.

Essentially, what do other folks combine with MSmugglernowadays and what do find are Good, Bad and Ugly of your combination?

I like TKM myself still, but it's a little different. Probably not as effective as going all melee but I can solo juv Krayts just fine.Good template for those that don't like to run around in circles and still want to be a smuggler.

I have found the MBH/MSmuggler combo to work well. Couldnt give you much advise, as im yet to do much out of a full group (so all i do atm is spam crit or torso shot for dmg and hit surrounding targets with concussion to stop em coming too close). Im sure fully explored it would be a nice combo.

I also have 4000 comando, i went that basically for the defences, but if the reports are true, grenades are now working again properly, and so this tree may work out.

A mate went MBH/MS and has the 0400 tree in Comando. Cant remember what it is called, but the gun cert from this tree has a fire DoT, and is an area attack.

Everyone knows I LOVE the MSmug/MBH combo-

You can earn money by-

Doing NPC Bounties and getting your slice loot

Slicing with the loot you got from NPC Bouties.

Harvesting.

Spicing.

Faction.

Not to mention MBH skills are hard hitting and Smuggler skills allow you to get away with murder...literally. Combined it's down right scary. I soloed the Corvette (I only died once) and I regularly kick butt in PvP.

I was taking missions out of Kaadara while a Rebel Combatant.

I would roll in and have like 4 level 50 Imps shooting me as I ran to the terminal.

I would feign.

Leisurely pick a mission.

Stand up- and Concuss the ones that come back for more with my Launcher Pistol (A line of Commando tops of MBH/MSmuggler real nice).

Run over to the informant and feign again 'til everyone goes home thinkin' happy thoughts of my death.

Get up and get my bio-sig and be on my way.

It don't get much more smuggler like than that.

MSmuggler/MRifles/Commando 4004

and

MSmuggler/MCommando/Pistoleer 4404

*I would also like to try a little MCM just to be a healer again.

I love MSmug/MRifles/4400 pistols. Hard hitting with just enough croud control to be deadly. And sneaking into just about any place with FD is wonderful.

I was MSmug/TKM/Pistols 4/0/0/4, then i decided that I would switch over to BH, and I immediatly enjoied my decision. Something about doubling the ammount of dmg i was doing seems a good reason as any to change profs.
