Thread: Slicing bio-linked items now fixed... or is it?!

Last night, when slicing weapons for a friend of mine, I accidentally bio-linked a gun to me. Here's what happened:

I was slicing a number of guns, only 1 of which was bio-linkable. For the regular guns the 'slice' option is #4 on the radial menu but for bio-linkable items 'slice' is #5 on the radial menu. I was logged in on my laptop, which is much slower and laggier than my desktop and it takes it a second or 2 for all of the radial options to pop-up. I think you can see where this is going... after slicing through the other 4 or 5 weapons i was slicing I hit the number 4 for the bio-linked item after right clicking (likeI had been doing on all of the other weapons)and instead of slicing the gun it bio-linked it to me without any pop-up warning like it does when you equip it. So now I have a gun that I don't want/can't use and my friend is out their gun (thank goodness it was a close friend and not a customer - which actually makes me feel worse about it).

So I submitted a CSR ticket explaining the situation - that the gun had never been used or even equipped - and received a form-letter response that they cannot undo bio-links on items. Very disappointing to be sure - I can understand the need to not undo bio-links on items. If they won't undo the link then they need toadd a pop-up warning when bio-linking from the radial... just seems silly that you, in one click, can do something that can never be undone by anyone or anything in the game without any warning (especially when most bio-linked items can only be gotten once per character). You get a pop-up when you try and equip the item so it seems only fair that you get a warning when bio-linking from the radial menu. Yes, it was my mistake - I'm just frustrated as I once again feel victimized by poor game mechanics and customer service.

Right now I am one very frustrated smuggler...
